The contact called on behalf of the owner of a 2024 Kenworth W900. The contact, who is a fleet manager, stated that while one of the drivers was driving uphill, the vehicle stalled. The contact called on behalf of the owner of a 2024 Kenworth W900. The contact, who is a fleet manager, stated that while one of the drivers was driving uphill, the vehicle stalled. The driver called and the contact went to the location where the vehicle was pulled over. The contact stated that there was fuel spewing from the injection pump. Upon further inspection, the contact became aware that the fuel pump barrel was fractured. The contact repaired the vehicle on-site. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24E078000 (FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL). The failure mileage was 110,230.

24V043000 · Steering:linkages:knuckle:spindle:arm

PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2024 Peterbilt 367, 389, 520, 567, and Kenworth T800, T880, W900, and W990 trucks. The bearing journals may not be fully seated in the steering knuckle assemblies, preventing the proper installation of the wheel end hub assemblies.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: An improperly installed wheel end hub assembly can leak oil, causing the axle spindles to loosen or fracture and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the steering knuckle assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 23, 2024. Owners may contact Peterbilt customer service at 1-940-591-4220 and/or Kenworth customer service at 1-425-828-5888. PACCAR's numbers for this recall are 24PBB and 24KWB.

23V717000 · Seat Belts

PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2020 Kenworth T660, 2018-2024 Kenworth T800 and W900 vehicles. An additional spacer may have been added to the joint that connects the seat to the seat belt tether and buckle, causing an unsecured connection.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: An unsecured seat belt connection may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and remove the additional spacer and replace the bolt, as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed March 20, 2024. Owners may contact PACCAR's customer service at 1-425-828-5888. PACCAR's number for this recall is 23KWK.
