2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L

Infotainment system with back up camera and comfort systems, hands free etc has a crack in the screen that occurred overnight with no severe changes in weather and no physical damage occurring to prompt large crack starting in the plastic surround and spidering into the glass screen. Unable to effectively use screen or back up camera or other safety features contained within the unit.

While driving 45mph along a straight, open highway my vehicle suddenly shifted itself to park and stopped itself abruptly. I was then unable to shift the car out of park or move the brake or gas pedal or turn off the vehicle. This lasted for approximately 15 minutes and the car would not let me open the doors. All the dashboard lights were illuminated and my driver display screen stated if I took my foot off the brake the car would reverse. Eventually after 15 minutes of trying to shift and turn off the car it did shut off.

Upon starting my vehicle, my dashboard began flashing errors. All the indicator lights were lighted up (power steering, engine, collision detection, traction). The mileage began blinking on and off. Both of the light indicators on my side windows (for blindspot detection) were continuously illuminated even though I was parked and no vehicles were next to me. The error messages that were flashing on my dashboard were: Service Electronic Stability Control, Service Power Steering, Active Lane Management Limited, and Blind Spot Alert Unavailable. I have pictures of all of this. Additionally, when I put the vehicle into reverse, another error message displayed but I didn't get a picture of this message. When I drove the vehicle down the road (less than half a mile), it sounded louder as if I was revving the engine but I was not. I pulled off to the side, turned my vehicle off and then back on again, but the same error messages and lights continued to happen. I am being told by the dealership that I am responsible for this electrical issue because my vehicle is out was warranty. This is a leased vehicle and there is 43k miles on my vehicle. I have kept up with all maintenance and shouldn't be responsible for the cost of fixing this issue because it's leased and not my fault. The manufacturer should be responsible for fixing issues with their vehicles.

No warning lamps were displayed relating to the recall. I was hit from behind while driving between 60 and 70MPH. I lost control and spun around twice before violently hitting a guard rail, perpendicular to the driver's side of my vehicle. The side/door airbags failed to deploy. My neck was thrown into the seatbelt and door. I suffered from partial vocal cord paralysis, tinnitus, dysphagia, loss of hearing, pain, and other symptoms due to the impact; my sternocleidomastoid and associated nerves being primarily affected. As a result I was out of work from May 13th, 2026 to July 3rd, 2026. I was not aware or notified about any recalls until after my accident. My vehicle was totalled.

Significant electrical issues. Screens randomly turn off and flicker which prevents driver from being able to see vehicle status including speed. Vehicle also has built in charge pad which over heats and concerned could lead to wires melting and fire. Vehicle has spent multiple weeks at dealership for electrical issues but no solution has thus far been found. On XXX at approximately 630pm during rush-hour traffic crossing the XXX on [XXX], my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited L (11,800 miles) the brake pedal went to the floor and the vehicle would not stop normally. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. This created a dangerous situation in heavy traffic with my child in the car and could have easily led to a collision. The vehicle was promptly taken to the closest authorized Jeep dealer. They diagnosed a Brake Vacuum Booster failure along with Diagnostic Trouble Code P057B-00 (Brake Pedal Position Sensor related). I have video footage of the symptom occurring and photos of the repair diagnosis. This is a new vehicle with very low mileage, and this unexpected failure raises serious safety concerns about potential defects in the brake system. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this matter to determine if it affects other 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokees.
