2018 Jeep Compass

My Uconnect System came with the car. I purchased it in 2019 and by 2020 I noticed a bubble in my screen, 2021 I noticed it getting bigger I took it to the dealer they said nothing needs to be done and in 2022 it got worse and then they told me it’s out of warranty, in 2023 it’s completely delaminated and now I have no use for the entire system and now it is causing issues.

My car keeps jerking. I’m not over the line. My car keeps sounding like engine is revving or down shifting while I’m driving and I’m doing the same speed limit. I’ve taken it in multiply times for this. I’m told it is normal. I don’t believe it is. My interment panel will not show me anything except safety & assistance or display. When I go to display. I can only go to nav. Repetition. If I click ok. It shows on off ok to select or arrow to left to exit. Those are the only options on that on setting. and the only other setting offered is safety and assistance. The options there are buzzer volume, speed warning, and Hill start assist. Ok to select or left arrow.

I purchased a 2018 Jeep Compass 4 months ago with around 52,000 miles. The first month went smooth but going into the second month it began having system problems. The Jeep would stall out and turn off in my job parking lot, traffic, and the drive thru line. Seems as if the auto start/stop system would cause the Jeep to shut off so I would always try to disable it after starting the Jeep up. The entire dashboard and display would just flicker and turn off but I could still hear the radio. The windows would lock themselves when I would try to roll them down due to the heat from the hot weather. I would have to keep jumping the battery numerous times even after changing the aux battery. The Jeep would drive perfectly for a few days and then go right back to not starting up and the lights flickering.

I just purchased a 2018 Jeep Compass Limited and the car shuts off unexpectedly while driving. This is a serious safety hazard as the car gives no warning. Someone is going to get killed! The car just shuts off in the middle of driving.I was afraid to drive after two shut downs in the same day, I had car towed to the dealer. Please have these cars recalled! HELP!

The contact owned a 2018 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, the steering wheel column became inoperable; however, there were no warning lights illuminated on the control panel. The vehicle was inoperable, swerved off the road, and caused an accident. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard where it was declared a total loss by the insurance adjuster. Latest incident (7/21/23) resulted in check engine light code: P1DD2 - “Torque Request Signal from TCM denied”. Check engine light came on - Jeep felt like it was going to stall. For several months now, I’ve had intermittent issues with the Jeep “shifting” on its own while driving without me touching the shifter. I then get an alert that I can’t change gears while driving & I have to pull over to try to resolve the issue. This has happened to me several times but when I’ve reported it, the mechanic / Jeep dealer couldn’t make the issue happen again. In addition, since owning this Jeep, the most I can drive is 3000 miles before needing an oil change. My oil is being “burned through”. Most recently I didn’t even make it 1000 miles after an oil change without losing atleast 2-3 quarts of oil. Not sure why this is happening as I should be able to go between 5k-6k miles between oil changes.
