TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 (NA) JAYCO EAGLE FIFTH WHEEL TRAILER. WHILE INSPECTING THE TRAVEL TRAILER, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT AND REAR CROSS MEMBERS WERE FRACTURED AT THE AXLES. THE TRAILER WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT CROSS MEMBERS BETWEEN AXLES AND BEHIND AXLES BROKEN, ALSO MAIN FRAME BEHIND RIGHT, RR, SPRING HANGER. CONSUMER STATED MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND AFTER DESCRIBING TO THE QUALITY CONTROL PERSON, THE SAID PERSON TOLD ME THAT THE ISSUE WAS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE BUT A WARRANTY ISSUE AND THAT IT WAS MOOT BECAUSE AS A FOUR YEAR OLD TRAILER WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THEN ON SEPT.6, I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND EXPLAINED TO THE SERVICE MANAGER ABOUT THE BREAKAGE. I TOOK TRAILER TO THEM ON SEPT.7 AND CURRENTLY WAITING ON REPAIR POSSIBILITIES. PRIOR TO GOING OUT OF STATE, I HAD GREASED AXLE BEARINGS AND HAD CRAWLED UNDER TRAILER TO CHECK BRAKE ADJUSTMENT. IT WAS AT THIS TIME THAT I FOUND AT LEAST TWO CROSS MEMBERS BROKEN NEAR WHERE THEY JOINED MAIN FRAME. LATER, I FOUND THE MAIN FRAME CRACKED BEHIND THE RIGHT REAR SPRING HANGER. THIS WAS WHERE THE SPRING HANGER WAS WELDED TO MAIN FRAME. CARFAX CANNOT PROCESS THE VIN. UPDATED 10/22/18*JB
