26V459000 · Electrical SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V Battery:cables

Jul 16, 2026

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2021, 2023-2027 MV, and 2026-2027 HV vehicles. The battery interconnect cable may contact the auxiliary stud and hold down bracket, causing a short circuit.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will install plastic saddles onto the positive interconnect cable, install wind laces and a J-bolt between each battery, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed September 8, 2026. Owners will receive another notice once remedy becomes available. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26510. This recall replaces and expands NHTSA Recall 25V534. Vehicles previously repaired under 25V534 will need the new remedy completed.

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2026-2027 HV vehicles. The service brake may take longer than expected to release. As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A delayed brake release can increase the risk of crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the 5/8” air line with a 3/4” air line, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 13, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26506.

Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Safety systems that depend on the ECU, such as Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System, may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: International will work with Bendix to reprogram the ECU, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 19, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25525. International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025-2026 HV, HX, LT, MV, RH, and 2025 EMV vehicles. The linkage that connects the right-side wiper arm to the motor may separate, causing the wipers to fail.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Windshield wiper failure can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the wiper module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25505.
