The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving at 65 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed, however the vehicle failed to stop as intended. In addition, the contact's vehicle rearended the vehicle that was in front of the contact's vehicle. The front sensor was damaged from the first impact which caused the computer to crash. The vehicle rearended the vehicle again. The contact stated that the vehicle independently activated self mode driving. The contact noticed an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. In addition, the contact noticed white smoke coming from underneath the hood and the engine seized. The air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. The vehicle was condemned a total loss. The contact was transported to the local medical center. The additional three occupants of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries. The contact sustained injuries to the neck, whiplash, and pain in the left shoulder and back. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at a stop light while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate. The failure occurred on several occasions and the vehicle was taken to the local dealer. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure and the vehicle was not repaired. After retrieving the vehicle, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 331.
