Vehicle WITHOUT WARNING will start to jerk then go into “limp” mode. Pressing on gas pedal makes the revving noise but with not physical movement made. This has happened on MULTIPLE occasions (13 times in 4 months) including in the snow and on the interstate while driving at 70mph where no shoulder is available to pull over. Car was taken to dealership 3 different times with no actual diagnosis, tests were ran all 3 times with nothing. Eventually the 3rd time at the dealership I was told the transmission was being replaced although they were not sure what actually caused the issue (this is written in the service report by the rep/mechanic). CAR REMAINS UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE. Livelihood of myself, family and other drivers is at risk EVERYTIME I put the car in drive due to this mechanical issue. NO WARNINGS NO POWER NO FIX.

Filled gas tank up on Friday [XXX] about 10am as leaving Boca Raton, FL to head North to New Port Richey, FL. About 30 minutes later the gas mileage said there was only 90 miles left in the tank. Stopped at the next gas station to make sure nothing was leaking, added a little more until it clicked, basically full again. Got to approximately [XXX] near Morris Bridge in Tampa area, the car started to decelerate and then all the engine lights came on and car was shutting off, was able to pull to the left side of the road and Looked into the back seat noticed the back seat was rising. Looked under the back of the car and the frame looked like it was pushing up into the backend of the car. DOT was called out to the scene as it appeared the car could have exploded. This could have killed my [XXX] daughter (which was who was driving the car) or other people on the road. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

On June 4 as son was turning, the car started shaking & went to park. He managed to slip into a nearby parking spot & tried to reverse. The car turned on, put into reverse & then after about 2 seconds it went to park & stopped. This happened several times. It was towed to the dealer who today, June 10, reported it was a transmission flaw. The car was being driven at about 30 mph on a 2 way street. Had it been on the interstate at a higher speed, it may have caused a dangerous situation with a sudden stop.

Twice within the first 26k miles i had 2 individual fuel injectors go bad. Both times my check engine light came on in the middle of driving, and then my car would no longer increase in speed and left me stranded on the road. Luckily, i was able to pull over to the side of the road. The random malfunction of the vehicle could’ve caused an accident or put my life, as well as the drivers on the road, in danger. When my vehicle arrived at the dealership, i was told that it was “because of the gas i was putting in my car”. I have never had any problems with any other vehicle when using the same gas, and have never heard of it from anyone else except from people with the same make and model as me. The dealership refused to replace the other 2 remaining fuel injectors because “they aren’t in need of repair” but acknowledged that I will just have to wait until the other 2 fuel injectors go bad and possibly be stranded in the middle of the road again. When picking up my vehicle after the seconds repair, I was told that my timing cover was leaking oil and that was repaired as well. When asked how that happened, the service center told me it was a factory malfunction. The first incident where Cylinder 2 went bad was on 12/27/2023 at 13,143 miles The second incident where Cylinder 3 went bad as well as the leaking timing cover was on 12/2/2024 at 25,890 miles

The power-operated driver seat has moved on its own, without warning, while the vehicle is in gear, potentially moving the driver away from being able to reach the brake pedal or otherwise control the vehicle. The vehicle uses seat position memory pre-sets and/or driver profiles, such that even if a new driver sets the seat position manually or by using a pre-defined memory setting, will move the seat to the position it was last driven in. The driver can stop the seat from moving further by either activating the seat position controls or by selecting a seat position memory setting.

When I approach an intersection to stop my car auto shut off engages. When trying to hit the gas to release my car from auto shut off the emergency auto shut off engages and I must put my car in park. Turn the ignition to off and then crank my car back all the way on. Release the park and drive. This happens intermittently for several weeks and I’ve almost been rear ended several times. I have taken the car to a Hyundai dealership for the issue and they tell me nothing is wrong.
