Fractured windshield from rock strike. Not Hyundai responsiblity. 2 1/2 feet from mirror thru driver view. ISSUE IS: Safelite does not have aftermarket glass. Car is 5 months old. Hyundai says they have zero replacement glass in United States. I can order ($1500), and wait appx 2-3 months. It is illegal both in CA where I resid…

Fractured windshield from rock strike. Not Hyundai responsiblity. 2 1/2 feet from mirror thru driver view. ISSUE IS: Safelite does not have aftermarket glass. Car is 5 months old. Hyundai says they have zero replacement glass in United States. I can order ($1500), and wait appx 2-3 months. It is illegal both in CA where I reside and federally to drive with fractured windshield. How is it that auto manufacturers are able to not keep safety items reasonably in stock? Covid is long over, I’m tired of hearing “supply chain” excuse. A brief online review shows Kia/Hyundai has had windscreen issues ongoing for years. I’m not even certain that all of my mirror resident safety features are working properly.
