This has happened to me several times, and I've read online this issue has happen to others too. This is a safety hazard and makes the trunk unusable when it happens. I have a video of the trunk not opening, but it doesn't look like I'm able to upload videos files to this submission.

Forward attention warning camera continues to malfunction stating camera is obscured even when not. If cruise is allowed to be engaged the camera will randomly decide it doesn’t detect your face and will hard brake to stop the car. This has happened multiple times to me, narrowly avoiding collision from behind. Hyundai refuses to address the issue because their technicians can’t duplicate the issue so they state the car is safe to drive. Camera becomes hot to the touch much like an overheating cell phone. At times camera can be covered completely and will not detect it’s obscured. This camera is a big safety hazard rather than providing any safety. Someone will die if this is not addressed-the manufacturer doesn’t seem to care to fix the issue. I’ve reported this to the dealership from the 1st week I’ve owned the car. My car has been at the dealership for this issue almost half of the time I’ve owned it. I have seen many others with the same issue in Hyundai forums-their issues have always been dismissed as not a safety issue by Hyundai as well. How can a car that will brake from a high speed or any speed for that matter be safe-just because it “thinks” you aren’t looking forward but are looking forward.

The infotainment screen on my 2024 santa fe hybrid started flickering around 3k miles and right now at around 4.5k miles, 95% of the times it stays dark and unresponsive, 5% of the time it comes on but constantly flickers and only works the other 5%. We have no way to monitor reverse camera and for a car with lots of blind spots, this has become a safety hazard. I tried the small reset button next to the right knob on the center console but no results. There's an open Reddit thread on other owners expressing the same concern. This is nothing short of a major safety malfunction that could lead to potential damage to property and/or loss of life

If I wear dark sunglasses, the forward collision avoidance turns off while using cruise control. If I wear lighter sunglasses, it is fine. Unfortunately, I have to wear darker sunglasses due to previous eye surgery. I am unable to utilize cruise control without compromise to my eyes because forward collision avoidance doesn’t work with darker glasses. This happens every time I test it and change sunglasses with differing shades of protection.
