Driving in heavy rain, wipers quit. No snow, no ice, just heavy rain. This creates a potential for a fatal incident. Approximately 5 to 10 minutes after quitting and upon turning wipers off and back on, wipers reset and begin to work again.

I purchased my vehicle from South Point Hyundai in Austin, Texas on [XXX], 2022. Almost immediately after purchase, I began having trouble with the vehicle’s braking system. In essence, the vehicle seems to inappropriately activate its ABS while braking over uneven surfaces (think-parking lots, speed bumps) in dry conditions. I have dashcam videos of at least three examples of this happening (from Aug ‘22 through May ‘24). I took the vehicle to the dealer for repairs that included the braking issue on or about [XXX], 2022, but the dealer claimed they were unable to diagnose and address the braking problem. There were no dash indicators or DTCs that were available. This problem continued to exhibit itself and was a matter of concern to our family, until the braking system’s failure caused a collision with a parking garage access gate arm on [XXX] 2024. This incident has created distress, and substantially impairs my family’s willingness to use the vehicle due to a now established safety hazard. We do not wish to put others in danger for a mechanical failure that we were told was non-existent when we tried to get it fixed in December of 2022. We have also been put in a tough situation because we do not have access to an additional vehicle for use while the problem is diagnosed at the dealer. My 2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy which I bought in July 2023 failed to start in May 2024 inside my house garage. It had an error message of "Check ESC" where ESC stands for electronic stability control. After trying a couple of more times to start it, it completely died. Had it tow to the dealer and after a few days in the dealer, they told me it was a dead battery. The car went from no warnings at all to completely being dead inside my garage. No explanation of why the battery did not warn of any issues or why a "check ESC" warning code was displayed instead of displaying a "low battery" code. A search in the internet shows an unbelievable amount of accounts of these Hyundai Palisades suddenly causing the car to die and an "check ESC" code showing immediately after the car dies down. There has to be issues with these cars bacause this issue seems to be happening very often.
HI, OUR 2023 HYUNDAI PALISADE 3RD ROW middle SEAT BELT pops open while driving. I have read online this is a very popular issue. Happy Hyundai Oak Lawn Dealer said its 550.00 dollars to fix it and not covered under warrantly. Is there anything that can be done.

Each time shut car off and able to reset.Have an appointment on May 28 with dealer. Forum info says corporate has found this this to be loose ground wire. Repair requires removing dashboard. Giving dealership a shot to straighten out. If is there a repeat will be initiating a claim under Lemon Law.
Anti- lock brakes shutter the whole vehicle at slow speeds Then you have to lock up the brakes to stop the vehicle
The back seat windows r very cloudy. When super sunny sometimes hard to see things.

2PE24021 · Inadvertent Seat Belt Unlatch
Opened Aug 7, 2024 · Closed Dec 12, 2025
Status: closed (inferred from source dates) · Seat Belts
On August 7, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened PE24021 to investigate complaints alleging inadvertent unlatching of seat belts in model year (MY) 2020-2023 Hyundai Palisade vehicles manufactured by Hyundai Motor America. The complaints alleged that, without warning, the seat belts sometimes inadvertently unlatch, increasing the risk of injury due to full loss of seat belt protection in the event of a crash. As a result of information exchanged as part of the investigation, on April 3, 2025, Hyundai initiated a warranty extension policy for seat belt buckles on model year 2020-2025 Palisade vehicles in the U.S. and Canada. Hyundai subsequently initiated a request for warranty parts returns to support further analysis by the buckle supplier, ZF Lifetec. The warranty extension (reference “Z06”) noted that certain 2020 – 2025 model year Palisade vehicles may experience abnormal seat belt buckle(s) operation. Hyundai extended the warranty coverage for the seat belt buckle under this condition to 15 years/150,000 miles (whichever occurs first) from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use. This action is valid for original and subsequent owners. On September 11, 2025, Hyundai filed recall 25V-607 for certain 2020-2025 Hyundai Palisade vehicles. Hyundai explained in its recall filing that the subject vehicles are equipped with seat belt buckle assemblies in the front row and second row outer seating positions that may contain out-of-specification components manufactured by the supplier. These components can cause interference within the latch channel, potentially increasing friction, particularly under cold ambient temperatures. Improperly produced seat belt buckles, combined with slow insertion of the seat belt tongue plate, may prevent the seat belt buckle from fully latching. The recall remedy is currently under development. In view of Hyundai’s recall action, ODI is closing this Preliminary Evaluation, but will continue to monitor the issue as a remedy is developed and implemented. ODI will take additional action if warranted by future circumstances. To review the reports cited in the Closing Resume ODI Report Identification Number document, go to NHTSA.gov.
