I BROUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW 2 YEARS LATER I STARTED HAVING THIS VIBRATION PROBLEM I THOUGHT IT WAS THE CHEAP FACTORY TIRES THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND SAID THAT IT WAS THE FACTORY TIRES. WELL THE PROBLEM IS THE RIMS NOT THE TIRES AND NOT THE SUSPENSION. THIS NICE OLD MAN WHO HAS A TIRE GARAGE POINTED THIS OUT TO ME THESE CHEAP FACTORY RIMS BEND SO EASILY THAT THE TIRE MOVES FROM SIDE TO SIDE . I HAD OTHER PEOPLE LOOK AT THE RIMS AND THEY COULDN'T SEE ANY THING WRONG WITH THEM. THANKS TO THAT NICE OLD MAN I HOPE EVERYBODY TAKES A LOOK AT THERE RIMS. *NM

Steering
CONSUMER NOTICED WHILE DRIVING STEERING WHEEL FAILED. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO TURN IT BUT WITH FORCE. IN GENERAL, STEERING WHEEL WAS HARD TO TURN AND STEER. ALSO, POWER STEERING LEAKED OUT. CONSUMER DROVE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 2.7 LITER V-6 ENGINES, IMPROPERLY MANUFACTURED CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSORS (CPS) WERE INSTALLED. THE CPS CASES WERE IMPROPERLY MANUFACTURED AND DID NOT MEET DIMENSIONAL SPECIFICATIONS. INTERNAL GAPS WITHIN THE CASES ALLOWED EPOXY TO CONTACT THE CIRCUIT BOARD, WHICH RESULTED IN CRACKING OF THE CIRCUIT BOARD CAPACITOR.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A DAMAGED CPS CAPACITOR COULD RESULT IN ENGINE STALLING.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CPS. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MAY 17, 2002. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT HYUNDAI CARIBBEAN AT 1-787-251-8715.
