- Component: Undercarriage splash shield - Risk: One of the two sliding panels slid off under normal driving conditions. Vehicle has only 6,000 miles on it. - Component: Undercarriage splash shield - Risk: One of the two sliding panels slid off under normal driving conditions. Vehicle has only 6,000 miles on it. The panel then drags on the ground and has risk of breaking off and flying off behind the vehicle. In our case, it just dropped when my daughter drove vehicle into the driveway, but if this happened at highway speeds it could be very bad. - Confirmation: Discussed it with Honda service technician. Their only response was that they cannot re-engineer the vehicle, they can only slide panel back in place as use existing clips. - Inspected: By Honda dealer/service tech. - There were no warnings or indications of the problem, only the noise of the panel dragging on the ground. Recall on rear view cams and front dashboard connectivity is a continuous issue with the car and the dealership visits did not resolve the problem and recalls are still pending for want of spares and non availability of techs or some reasons by the dealer

My 2025 Honda Prologue Elite is experiencing multiple safety-related issues. The front CV axles make a consistent clicking noise when turning, indicating a possible drivetrain or axle defect. The power tailgate also intermittently and unexpectedly closes on its own while loading or unloading, creating a risk of head injury. In addition, the infotainment screen and digital gauge cluster will randomly shut off while driving—sometimes for up to 30 seconds—leaving me without speed, range, or other essential telemetry while the vehicle is in motion. All of which the dealer will not address or states they can't replicate.

26V306000 · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

May 14, 2026

American Honda Motor Company (Honda) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Honda Prologue and 2024 Acura ZDX vehicles. The rearview camera screen may display a distorted or blank image.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A rearview image that does not display correctly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in late 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are DO5 and RO6. The information in your report suggests that Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) may have been aware of this issue more than five business days before filing a report with NHTSA. Please be reminded that under Federal law, this agency is to be notified of all safety defect and/or noncompliance decisions within five business days. 49 CFR 573.6 Significant civil penalties can be assessed for this violation.
