837 reportsMy 2024 Honda Prologue had less than 900 miles on it when "High Voltage Warning" appeared on my dash, and warned me to take the vehicle to a service center immediately - I did, and now my Prologue has been in service for 20 days straight. (As of 1-17-25)
Knocking noise when making sharp/tight turns/u turns. Took vehicle to Honda dealer and was advised that axle/cv joint is issue. It is known and not estimated repair time provided.
Vehicle makes a clicking noise at the CV joint. Honda dealer said it was a "known problem but safe to drive." At first I thought it only happened if I had to make a sharp turn and accelerate from a stopped position. Now, it occurs far more frequently even with gentle turns like from a red light.
Anytime the headlights are turned on, the center console Infotainment system starts scrolling through random menus and initiating button presses on any option available in the menu it is on. It also becomes completely unresponsive to human button presses while this happens. This becomes a huge safety issue as any vehicle system …

Anytime the headlights are turned on, the center console Infotainment system starts scrolling through random menus and initiating button presses on any option available in the menu it is on. It also becomes completely unresponsive to human button presses while this happens. This becomes a huge safety issue as any vehicle system that is available from a button press can be turned on or off randomly. This problem is repeatable and happens every time the headlights are on.
HondaLink app will not connect with vehicle and requires re-activiation with Honda support occasionally. This is a safety concern as I am unable to identify and/or unlock car in an emergency (lost key), nor check tire pressure, and ultimately identify current state of vehicle battery. HondaLink app will not connect with vehicle and requires re-activiation with Honda support occasionally. This is a safety concern as I am unable to identify and/or unlock car in an emergency (lost key), nor check tire pressure, and ultimately identify current state of vehicle battery. I have notified manufacturer and have two (2) open cases at this time. Dealer has also been notified. No warning lamps, several messages appear (see attached images). First occurrence was shortly after taking receipt of vehicle (Wednesday 15-Jan) and has occurred on several other occasions, which has caused me to request specific case investigation from manufacturer.
Emergency braking in reverse will randomly engage while in reverse when there is no object that is potentially obstructing reverse. Emergency braking in reverse will randomly engage while in reverse when there is no object that is potentially obstructing reverse. This is a safety issue as when it engages, other vehicles around may not be able to react as quickly and cause an impact. This has not been reported to manufacturer, it has been reported to dealer. Warning lamp for emergency breaking engaging and requires to be put in gear and engage manual break accordingly.
When turning the steering wheel when accelerating there is a popping noise in the front of the vehicle.
Honda link app is extremely slow to respond or doesn’t respond at all. Safety issue if no keys are available. Unable to unlock car, if keys are left in the car, the car will lock with no way to unlock if the app is not working.
The forward collision sensor failed to work after 2500 miles, disabling my ability to use adaptive cruise control. I've thoroughly cleaned the area where the two sensors are and it made no difference.

American Honda Motor Company (Honda) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Honda Prologue and 2024 Acura ZDX vehicles. The rearview camera screen may display a distorted or blank image.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display correctly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed July 7, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in late 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are DO5 and RO6. The information in your report suggests that Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) may have been aware of this issue more than five business days before filing a report with NHTSA. Please be reminded that under Federal law, this agency is to be notified of all safety defect and/or noncompliance decisions within five business days. 49 CFR 573.6 Significant civil penalties can be assessed for this violation.

Additionally, a software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, "Control and Displays," 111, "Rear Visibility," and 305, "Electric-Powered Vehicles."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash or injury. Additionally, the loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will update the vehicle radio control module software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed April 22, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A right front lower control arm fracture can cause loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the right front lower control arm as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 3, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is PIY.
