2024 Honda Prologue

CV Joint/ Axle. Also, rear collision warning system. CV Joint/Axle makes a very audible clicking sound when accelerating during a turn. Rear collision warning system hard brakes whenever you reverse even when there isn't anything there. the only solution is to disable it. I brought the vehicle to the honda dealership where i purchased it from and they confirmed there's an issue but said it's "normal". they were able to reproduce it The honda dealership inspected the vehicle. The CV Joint/Axle - i didn't notice any issues until i started hearing the sound. it was initially only when making right turns, but now it's heard when making right and left turns.

Specifically, I have encountered recurring problems with the vehicle's automatic braking system, as well as issues with the Honda Prologue app, both of which I believe compromise the vehicle's safety and performance. 
The vehicle's automatic braking system appears to be malfunctioning, as it has activated unexpectedly on multiple occasions, leading to near-miss accidents. On at least three occasions, the vehicle’s brakes have engaged without cause, even in situations where there is no obstruction or “phantom” vehicle detected. This automatic braking has not only been inappropriate but also posed a significant safety risk to both myself and other road users. The reverse braking system exhibits similar issues, activating without cause. Despite the alerts being on and the brakes not being engaged, the system’s warning signals still activate, leading to further confusion and potential danger. I have consulted with both the dealership and the Prologue forum, and it has been confirmed that this is an ongoing issue. However, the dealership has indicated that they have no immediate workaround or solution. The only suggested viableremedy has been to disable these safety features entirely, which negates the very purpose of having them. 
The Honda Prologue app, which is intended to provide critical vehicle information and allow remote monitoring and control, is also malfunctioning. I have been in communication with Honda for over two months regarding these issues, but unfortunately, no solution has been provided. The app is essential for monitoring vehicle functions such as theft prevention, charging status, and temperature control, all of which are key safety and convenience features. I am concerned about my ability to monitor the vehicle’s charging, especially given the increasing number of incidents involving electric vehicles catching fire during or after charging. Proper monitoring of charging status is crucial to avoid potential over overcharging and battery degradation.

I have a clunking sound during either left or right turns. Sound started around 5,500 miles on the odometer and has become increasingly more pronounced and frequent. If these parts fail while negotiating a turn the chance of an accident and possible injury is high. Dealership service department can reproduce the issue and confirmed the CV joints should be replaced. Dealership informed me parts are back ordered with no timeframe for when they may become available.

No heat at all. This is not good when here in the northeast its only been in the teens. My car has now been sitting at the dealership for a month with no idea when the part will be in to fix it. If they had just said to keep driving it till the parts came in this could have caused a safety issue health wise. I have not contacted the manufacturer as of it about this issue.

I turned on the car and backed out of my driveway and my infotainment and gauge cluster screens both went black. I pulled over to the side of the road because I could not see what my speed was and I couldn’t see what gear I was in. I restarted the car multiple times and it finally turned back on. I also realized later that I wouldn’t be able to turn on my headlights if it was dark outside. This is very unsafe and should be fixed. I do not believe I am the only one with this issue as I have seen many many others.

When the car is in reverse it will slam on the brakes abruptly while flashing the cross traffic or rear collision warning lights when nothing is there. It’s very annoying and can be a safety hazard especially if it is icy or snowy. I have found myself sliding on ice and snow when in reverse because the vehicle slams on the brakes. I have almost hit things multiple times.
