I need NHTSA assisting in resolving safety recall # 26V112, Instrument Panel and Rearview Camera Displays May Fail/FMVSS 101,111,305. I took my Honda Prologue vehicle to Honda dealer for the recall to be address. The dealer started the update process but failed to complete the update process and is now refusing to continue with the safety recall. The update process is to bring the vehicle operating system to the new and improved version to address failures as reported. The operating system that has the known failures is version Android 12, released in April of 2024. The new and improved operating system is version Android 14, released in May of 2025. This new and improved version were release to address the known failures. My vehicle is still operating on the same outdated operating version (Android 12) knows to have these failures. I have been in contact with Honda corporate trying to address this safety recall to no avail. I need assisting in resolving this safety recall as I do not feel safe driving my vehicle on the road. I am requesting a response regarding this matter.

The onboard navigation and entertainment system, including both the primary dashboard/driver interface and the center console, went fully black for over 1 minute while driving on the highway. When the screen is blank, no input is available from the vehicle as to speeds, behavior of cruise control, warning systems such as lane control, front rear and side awareness, operator awareness of speed, other vehicle warnings. Bringing to dealer today. this is the 2nd time this has occurred. The first time was in December. Vehicle was brought to dealer for software update. Update “bricked” the car, and a new radio module needed to be ordered. This took about 6 weeks. Module installed, software was updated, and this was to have addressed the issue. While records may indicate that the update was not yet performed on the vehicle, it was fully updated and the vehicle (according to the dealer) is fully up to date and the recall for it has been addressed with the software update. However, the update did not address the issue. No other inspections have occurred to date. No other symptoms or warning lights.

The suspected failure involves the front axle/CV (constant velocity) joint assembly, part of the drivetrain system that transfers power from the motor to the wheels while allowing steering movement. The vehicle produces a repetitive clicking/clunking noise during turns, particularly under light acceleration from a stop. This symptom is consistent with a failing outer CV joint or axle shaft component. The vehicle and all components are still installed and available for inspection upon request.A failing CV joint or axle can lead to loss of drive to a wheel, joint separation, or sudden drivetrain failure, especially during turning or acceleration. This creates a risk of loss of vehicle control, particularly when entering traffic, turning at intersections, or maneuvering at low speeds in populated areas. The clicking occurs during normal driving conditions, indicating a potential mechanical integrity issue that could worsen without warning. If the joint fails completely, it could result in sudden immobilization in traffic or inability to control vehicle movement safely. The vehicle has been presented to only the dealer, and they initially replaced but the problem persists. They do not have an answer other than when I presented bc my tires were showing serious wear, they refused to replace and said it was not connected to CV joint problem. No warning lamps or messages have appeared.

I have a 2024 Honda Prologue that has 8000 miles. When making left turns, the car has made very loud and clicking noises from the front axles that are very disturbing and startled me while driving. It occurred again. I am taking the car to the dealer for inspection. But it has been confirmed by the dealer that there is an axle problem and they have not been able to get the right part to repair/replace. There were no warning issues prior to the incident. My passengers and I were jarred by the loud noise but we were all seatbelted.

Vehicle Information Year: 2024 Make: Honda Model: Prologue Purchase Date: February 10, 2025 Mileage at Time of Issue: Approximately 40,654 miles Date Problem Occurred: February 19, 2026 Complaint Description: I purchased a brand-new 2024 Honda Prologue on February 10, 2025. On February 19, 2026, I received a warning message on the dashboard that stated “Service High Voltage System.” At the time the warning appeared, the vehicle had approximately 40,654 miles on the odometer. This warning concerns me because the high-voltage system is a critical component of the vehicle’s electric power train. A malfunction in this system could potentially affect the vehicle’s ability to operate safely, charge properly, or maintain normal performance. Since this is an electric vehicle, any issue with the high-voltage system could create a safety risk, especially if the vehicle were to lose power or fail while driving. I am submitting this complaint so the issue can be documented and investigated in case other 2024 Honda Prologue vehicles experience the same problem. At the time of submitting this report, I am not aware of a recall addressing this issue. I will be taking the vehicle to a Honda dealership for inspection and will keep records of any diagnosis, warning codes, or repairs related to this problem.

I am submitting this complaint regarding a recurring safety defect in my 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN: [XXX] ), serviced at AutoNation Honda Chandler in Chandler, Arizona. Most recent service reference: Invoice #XXX. The vehicle has experienced a repeated knocking noise coming from the right front wheel area, particularly when turning right or left at low speeds with the steering wheel fully turned. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a failure of the front wheel drive half shaft (outboard passenger axle) and replaced the component. This same part has now failed three times. Despite multiple repairs and part replacements, the problem continues to return. The front axle/half shaft is a critical drivetrain component, and failure of this part can affect steering control and vehicle stability, especially during turning. Between all service visits, my vehicle has been at the dealership for nearly one month in total. Most recently, my third appointment was canceled, and I was informed that there is currently no solution available for this issue. I am extremely concerned about the safety of operating this vehicle due to the repeated failure of the same drivetrain component and the lack of a permanent repair. This ongoing situation has caused significant stress and raises serious safety concerns. I am requesting that this matter be investigated, as it appears to be a recurring defect affecting a critical vehicle component.
