2024 Honda Prologue

Vehicle Drive Shaft makes clicking noise at the CV Joint. Vehicle part is backordered due to nationwide shortage caused by vehicle defect on numerous 2024 Honda Prologues. There is no code on dashboard. Honda service has looked at vehicle and stated noise is caused by the CV joint for the drive shaft. Still says to drive due to backordered parts with no resolution. Vehicle has less than 2000 miles on it when problem arised.

Honda Prologue with less than 5000 miles has begun experiencing a clicking sound when accelerating from a stop while turning left or right. Issue is consistent and reproducible. No warning lamps. Dealer confirms this is a bad CV axel that needs to be replaced. Parts are on back order from the manufacturer for at least three months. This is a known issue with 2024 Honda Prologue models. When turning the wheel hard left or right there is a popping or clicking sound coming from the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer, Terry were able to relegate the issue and confirmed a know issue with the front axel. A replacement has been ordered however the party is on backorder with no resolution date. There are no other symptoms or warning lights. This is a safety issue because I don't know if this will lead to complete failure of the axel and lead to a crash.

I have the same CV joint issue as most prologues. Loud, rapid clicking when turning right or left and Honda has no fix or remedy. I’m kind of just waiting for the front axle to fall apart while driving. The other issue is electrical, issues with hvac system and the memory seat has no fix either. Suspension is biggest issue that is unfixable and seems to be a high risk safety issue in my opinion.
