Recurring, intermittent fuel smell inside the vehicle, even with the air on recirculate. Seems to occur when on very hot days when the vehicle has been running a lot. The dealership found a soaked evap canister, replaced the fuel tank and evap canister, and the symptoms returned after about one week with a fuel smell entering the cabin. The fumes cause migraines and are unacceptable for a new car.

My brand new 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport-L experienced sudden significant power loss while operating on highway around 300 or so miles. Dashboard displayed warning: 'Emissions system problem — power may be reduced — see your dealer.' I had to immediately get off the highway and very slowly drive back home and then took it to the dealer as soon as their service dept. opened after that. Vehicle subsequently diagnosed at David McDavid Honda Irving with fuel injector failure requiring complete replacement under warranty. Highway power loss on a brand new vehicle at 300+ miles represents a serious safety hazard. Vehicle has been at dealer since May 26, 2026 for warranty repairs and even after 9 days they have not been able to resolve the issue and i am still waiting to pick up my car. Honda Corporate Case opened.

The vehicle displays inaccurate fuel level and miles-to-empty information, creating a safety risk because the driver cannot reliably determine how much fuel is actually available or how far the vehicle can be driven. The infotainment system also freezes and CarPlay frequently becomes unusable. There was also a key recognition / “key not detected” malfunction. These issues have occurred in a new vehicle and remain unresolved after multiple dealer visits.

1. Google Maps does not work in AppleCarPlay like it does in the 2025 models. The car speed bounces between certain numbers and the speed seriously lags speed numbers are not bouncing. This is a safety issue because there is not a single navigation application that works on that CarPlay and I then have to rely on my phone again which can be distracting. 2. The fuel economy is much worse than stated in Honda literature. The freeway mpg is not 31 but 26.
