AS I WAS DRIVING GOING AROUND 60MPH, SUDDENLY MY ENGINE LOST POWER, THE MOTORCYCLE SHUT OFF AND AS A RESULT MY REAR TIRE LOCKED UP FOR A SPLIT SECOND. I WAS ABLE TO TO GET TO GET OFF THE ROAD, THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS HURT. AS I TRIED TURNING THE MOTORCYCLE BACK ON, ALL IT DID WAS TICK AND DID NOT START. AFTER BEING UNSUCCESSFUL IN TURING IT BACK ON, I HAD TO TOW IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I HAD TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG. THEY TOLD ME IT APPEARED THAT MY ENGINE WAS SEIZED AND WOULD NEED A ENGINE REBUILD AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO PAY OUT OF MY OWN POCKET BECAUSE THE RECALL FOR THE SAME THING THATS WRONG WITH MY BIKE IS NOT COVERED AS IT IS WITH THE PREVIOUS YEAR BIKES. THE MOTORCYCLE ONLY HAS APPROXIMATELY 5000 MILES, I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE I WOULD THINK HONDA WOULD TAKE ACTION. I KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THIS HAS HAPPENED TO. IF THE PROBLEM WAS ON THE PREVIOUS YEAR BIKES WHY WOULD THE RECALL NOT EXTEND TO THE FOLLOWING YEARS THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM? THANK YOU, HOPEFULLY THIS GETS SOMEWHERE AND SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT IT.
