It will literally do it 100's of times within a short period. It's much worse than any text messaging distraction, which is against the law. Several people with this car have the same issue. Also the car will break when there's actually nothing in the road that should make it break but it will just slam on the brakes.

Driver safety issue. The touchscreen is nonrepsonsive and constantly glitches creating issues with navigation and also distraction. I have mad wrong turns, missed exits, and been completely distracted when dealing with this since I bought the vehicle. This is a common issue across this model with widespread complaints on the internet and dedicated discussion forums. The dealerships do patch jobs (sw updates) which does not directly resolve the issue. There are no actual diagnostics available that can identify a touchscreen issue to discern between an actual touch and a "ghost" touch. This is a driver safety issue and there are many videos online that show this type of glitching while driving. The technicians at the dealerships do not take the time to ever fully resolve this issue. I am taking my car back in for the 4th time tomorrow to get it reviewed. I imagine I am wasting more of my time and money to do this but it is not safe to drive like this. You have to experience it before you can say "it's just a touchscreen" issue. I've had passengers not understand how I can drive like this. And as mentioned above, it is not just me. Check the web. Honda should do a full recall on the infotainment system before someone, if it hasn't happened already, gets killed or injured. Thanks for reading. Very passionate on this issue. Can provide video of the issue if needed but there are plenty online if you should choose to search. It's bigger than my "touchscreen doesn't work."

A very loud static noise occurs about 5 minutes after I start driving every single day now. The radio is usually not on or either it's very low. Most of the time, this occurs when temperatures are elevated, however, it's starting to happen no matter how warm it is outside. This is very very unsafe because sometimes the sound is so loud that I cannot hear what is going on around me and/or potential issues that might occur while driving the vehicle. No messages or warning lights have come on since this has been happening.

2022 Accord Sport 2.0T. Wireless Apple CarPlay repeatedly fails with “Unable to connect to iPhone14.” Bluetooth HandsFreeLink remains connected and the vehicle sees the phone. I have completely deleted and re-paired both Bluetooth and CarPlay; it works initially and then fails again after one or two ignition cycles. Re-pairing the phone is only a temporary fix. I'm also getting what I consider a safety hazard, where the Infotainment system cuts out phone calls, switches to the radio or changes radio stations without anybody touching it, sometimes several times in a 10-15 second period.

I own a 2019 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T. While operating my vehicle, multiple safety-system warnings appeared on the dashboard at the same time. The vehicle displayed “Brake Hold System Problem,” “Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem,” “Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem,” and “Road Departure Mitigation System Problem,” each instructing me to see my dealer. These warnings concerned me because they involved the braking system and several Honda Sensing safety systems simultaneously. I parked the vehicle and turned the engine off. When I restarted the vehicle, all of the warnings had disappeared and the dashboard appeared normal again, even though no repair had been performed. The vehicle has approximately 72,980 miles. I have photographs documenting the warnings while they were displayed. I am reporting this to NHTSA because the problem was intermittent and affected multiple braking and driver-assistance systems at the same time. I am concerned that the systems could malfunction again while driving, including the braking/collision-mitigation system. I would like this incident documented as a potential safety defect involving the 2019 Honda Accord.

ODI HAS RECEIVED 16 COMPLAINTS ALLEGING FAILURES OF THE IGNITION PARK-SHIFT INTERLOCK THAT ALLOWED THE IGNITION KEY TO BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH WITHOUT THE TRANSMISSION BEING SHIFTED TO PARK IN MODEL YEAR (MY) 2002 AND 2003 HONDA ACCORD VEHICLES WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.ELEVEN OF THE COMPLAINTS ALLEGE THAT THE FAILURE OF THE INTERLOCK RESULTED IN A ROLLAWAY CRASH.ONE OWNER ALLEGED THAT SHE WAS ALMOST INTO HER HOUSE WHEN SHE NOTICED THE CAR ROLLING OUT OF THE GARAGE AND DOWN THE DRIVEWAY AND THAT WHEN SHE TRIED TO STOP THE CAR IT ALMOST RAN OVER HER, BEFORE CRASHING INTO A CABLE BOX AT THE END OF THE DRIVEWAY.ANOTHER OWNER ALLEGED THAT THE VEHICLE ROLLED OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND STRUCK A TREE ACROSS THE STREET.THERE HAVE BEEN 28 COMPLAINTS MADE TO HONDA REGARDING IGNITION PARK-SHIFT INTERLOCK FAILURES IN THE SUBJECT VEHICLES, 10 OF WHICH ALLEGE ROLLAWAY CRASHES. IN OCTOBER 2003, AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR COMPANY INITIATED RECALL 03V-423 TO CORRECT AN IGNITION PARK-SHIFT INTERLOCK DEFECT IN CERTAIN MY 1999 HONDA ODYSSEY, MY 1997-99 ACURA CL, MY 1999 ACURA TL, AND MY 1998-99 HONDA ACCORD VEHICLES.IN JANUARY 2005, HONDA INITIATED ANOTHER RECALL TO ADDRESS DEFECTIVE IGNITION PARK-SHIFT INTERLOCKS (RECALL 05V-025), THIS TIME COVERING MY 1997-2001 HONDA PRELUDE, MY 1999-2000 ACURA TL, AND CERTAIN MY 1999-2002 HONDA ACCORD VEHICLES.NOT ALL MY 2002 HONDA ACCORDS WERE COVERED UNDER RECALL 05V-025.THE REMAINING MY 2002 AND ALL MY 2003 ACCORD VEHICLES ARE COVERED IN THE SCOPE OF THIS RECALL QUERY. THIS INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO AN ENGINEERING ANALYSIS(EA09-001) TO CONTINUE TO ASSESS THE SCOPE AND FREQUENCY OF THE ALLEGED DEFECT.

SIX OF THE ODI COMPLAINTS ARE DUPLICATIVE OF HONDA COMPLAINTS, AS WELL AS FOUR OF THE CRASHES.THE ONE INJURY OCCURRED WHEN A ROLLAWAY VEHICLE STRUCK THE EXITING OPERATOR WHO HAD INADVERTENTLY PARKED THE VEHICLE IN AN UNSECURED STATE (NOT IN PARK, BRAKE NOT ENGAGED).HONDA IDENTIFIED THE WARRANTY CLAIMS FROM COMPLAINT DESCRIPTIONS THAT CONTENDED THE INTERLOCK SYSTEM FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY.HONDA PRESENTED THE RESULTS OF THEIR INVESTIGATION INTO INTERLOCK SYSTEM FAILURES AT AN OCTOBER 16, 2003 MEETING WITH ODI IN WHICH HONDA IDENTIFIED A SUPPLIER AND AN ENGINEERING SPECIFICATION CHANGE FOR THE IGNITION CYLINDER BODY (CB), A SUBCOMPONENT OF THE IGNITION LOCK ASSEMBLY.RESULTS FROM HONDA?S ANALYSIS DEMONSTRATED A STRONG CORRELATION BETWEEN THE PRODUCTION DATE RANGE OF VEHICLES THAT EXPERIENCED HIGHER INTERLOCK WARRANTY CLAIM RATES AND THE IMPLEMENTATION DATES OF THE CHANGES.AN ENGINEERING SPECIFICATION FOR A SURFACE TREATMENT PROCESS FOR THE CB WAS ELIMINATED AT THE BEGINNING OF MY 1998.THE SUPPLIER OF THE CB WAS CHANGED IN FEBRUARY 1999.VEHICLES BUILT WITHIN THIS TIME PERIOD CONTAIN A CB WITH POOR SURFACE HARDNESS THAT CAN WEAR PREMATURELY.AS THE WEAR PROGRESSES, THE INTERLOCK SYSTEM BECOMES INCAPABLE OF PREVENTING KEY REMOVAL WHEN THE SHIFTER IS IN A NON-PARK POSITION.INTERLOCK FAILURE INCREASES THE RISK OF A VEHICLE ROLLAWAY AND SUBSEQUENT CRASH OR INJURY WHEN VEHICLES ARE PARKED UNSECURED.HONDA ACCORD VEHICLES SUBJECT TO THIS CHANGE INCLUDE MY 1998 AND MY 1999 THROUGH FEBRUARY 1999 PRODUCTION.VEHICLES PRODUCED AFTER THIS DATE ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS CONDITION AND THUS ARE NOT CONSIDERED AT RISK FOR FAILURE.ODI NOTES THAT 12 OF THE 13 VOQ REPORTS FALL WITHIN THIS PRODUCTION RANGE (THE 13TH DOES NOT HAVE A VIN AND CANNOT BE VERIFIED).THE ABOVE POPULATION REPRESENTS THE NUMBER OF THE ACCORD VEHICLES TO BE RECALLED.HONDA ALSO REPORTED THAT CERTAIN ODYSSEY AND ACURA CL AND TL MODELS WERE AFFECTED AND WOULD ALSO BE RECALLED.A TOTAL OF 570,120 VEHICLES WILL BE RECALLED.UNDER RECALL 03V-423, HONDA WILL INSPECT VEHICLES AND REPLACE COMPONENTS (INCLUDING THE CB) ON VEHICLES WITH EXCESSIVE WEAR.VEHICLES NOT SHOWING WEAR WILL HAVE A REDESIGNED PART INSTALLED WHICH PREVENTS WEAR.
