I took my car in because the electric parking brake warning appeared while driving. I also looked it up and saw many others were having this issue. So basically Honda charged me for something that’s an ongoing Honda issue and passed it off as a glitch and cleared the codes. Clearly Honda needs to recall the 2023 accord because this isn’t safe and clearing the code isn’t taking care of the problem. Furthermore charging me for diagnosing this is completely wrong knowing this is not a problem only I am having. Honda needs a recall before there are serious accidents.
It is my understanding Honda issued a extended warranty on the air conditioning condenser for its Accord models from 2018-2022. I have a 2023 Accord and the exact same issue has happened on my car. It is my understanding Honda issued a extended warranty on the air conditioning condenser for its Accord models from 2018-2022. I have a 2023 Accord and the exact same issue has happened on my car. Similar to the earlier problems with fuel pumps where a partial recall was extended to the same model built in later years, I am suggesting Honda needs to repeat the extended warranty to include 2023 models. I am bringing this issue to your attention in case others are having the same experience.

I didn't know what happened initially but heard glass shards sliding around the roof. I slid the cover slightly open and could see the shattered glass. I drove home and discovered a hole in the glass. Im attaching pictures of what I saw. I got home and searched online to see if anyone else has experienced this and found several articles referencing 2023 Honda Accord's and this issue. Including some class action law suits against Honda.

Summary of Incident: For approximately two years, my vehicle has experienced random electrical issues. All dashboard warning lights will flash at random times. When I take the vehicle to the dealership (Bell Honda), the problem disappears before it can be diagnosed. On September 27, 2025, and again on September 28, 2025, the vehicle completely stopped and shut off while I was driving. It would not restart. The hazard lights were stuck on and could not be turned off. This left me stranded and in a dangerous situation. After approximately 2-3 minutes, the vehicle was able to restart, but numerous warning lights remained illuminated on the dashboard. I had the vehicle tested with a diagnostic tool at an AutoZone, but no apparent issues were found in the system. Additional Information: This is an ongoing and unresolved safety issue that Honda has failed to address. This electrical problem, which causes the vehicle to shut down unexpectedly, is a significant safety hazard. This issue is in addition to another ongoing problem with the remote start system, which Honda has refused to diagnose and fix. Consequences and Concerns: The unexpected shutdown of the vehicle while in operation is extremely dangerous and could lead to a serious accident. The inability to use hazard lights properly further increases the risk to myself and other drivers. The intermittent nature of the problem makes it difficult to diagnose, but the consistent occurrence poses a serious risk that requires immediate investigation by Honda and the NHTSA.

This started within 2 months of purchasing the vehicle. The dealer has tried replacing the front camera and I have changed the battery. None of this has fixed the issue. After I changed the battery and took the vehicle to the dealer for recalibration they mentioned the pending items, but did not do anything about them or record them on their paperwork.

I always turn on the car from my house (auto start). The heavy snow forced the hood to touch the engine and because it did not have a cover, destoyed the insulation. I went to Honda and showed the service manager the picture. He said I would have to pay to replace the under hood insulation, that does not seem right.

1RQ24006 · Front Seat Belt Assemblies May Be Missing The Rivet That Secures The Quick Connector And Wire Plate
Opened Apr 4, 2024 · Closed Mar 26, 2025
Status: closed (inferred from source dates) · Seat Belts; Seat Belts:front
On April 4, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigations (ODI) opened RQ24006 to investigate American Honda Motor Co.’s (Honda’s) proposed remedy for recall 23V-782 as well as scope of the vehicles involved. Honda issued recall 23V-782 on November 21, 2023, which concerns certain model year (MY) 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Honda Accord Hybrid, and Honda HR-V vehicles. Recall 23V-782 states that the driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioner assemblies may have been manufactured without a rivet that secures the pretensioner quick connector and wire plate. Recall documentation states that seat belt pretensioner assemblies that are missing the rivet will not properly restrain the occupant in the event of a collision, increasing the risk of injury.Subject defective seat belt assemblies are installed as original equipment for both the driver and front passenger positions for the HR-V, but only for the driver position for the Accord and Accord Hybrid. The recall remedy for 23V-782 instructs the technician to inspect both front seat belt pretensioner assemblies and, if necessary, replace them. The inspection procedure requires the technician to utilize a pull force gauge to determine whether the subject component is missing the subject rivet and requires replacement. Parts requiring replacement are determined by whether the pretensioner quick connector separates from the pretensioner assembly while the technician is pulling on the seat belt. If no separation occurs, then the part is determined to be not defective and not require replacement. There have been no reports alleging a failure of seat belt pretensioner assemblies after the inspect and replace remedy for recall 23V-782 was performed. Additionally, no comparable failures have been observed in field data for similar vehicles outside of the scope of the recall. As of the 4th quarter of 2024, the recall completion rate is at approximately 84% of the total recalled population. In view of the lack of failures after the remedy for recall 23V-782 was performed, and the lack of failures in similar vehicles outside of the scope of the recall, ODI is closing this Recall Query (RQ). The Agency reserves the right to take additional action if warranted by future circumstances.
