I OWN A SMALL RV RENTAL COMPANY WITH 4 TRAVEL TRAILERS. ALL OF THESE TRAILERS WERE MANUFACTURED BY R-VISION, A SUBSIDIARY OF MONACOCOACH CORP. THE GRAY/BLACK WATER TANK MOUNTS ARE DEFECTIVE ON THE SE UNITS AND THE TANKS WILL FALL OUT FROM UNDER THE UNITS WHEN THEY ARE HALF FULL AND ABOVE. THE METAL ANGLE IRON(4' LENGTHS) ALSO COME LOOSE AND CAN FALL OUT ONTO THE ROAD. I HAVE 3 DIFFERENT MODELS, MAX-SPORT, TRAILCRUISER, AND TRAIL-LITE, AND ALL THREE HAVE HAD FAILURES. I SPOKE TO AN R-VISION DEALER AND HE TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE A FIX FOR THIS SO IT IS SOMETHING THAT IS MORE COMMON THAN JUST MY UNITS. I CONTACTED MONACO LAST MONTH REGARDING THIS SAFETY ISSUE AND THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T SEE A PATTERN SO WOULD NOT ADDRESS THE ISSUE. THEY DID OFFER TO PAY FOR ONE OF MY REPAIRS. I HAVE TOTALLY REDONE THE SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR THE TANKS IN MY COMPANY OWNED TRAILERS BUT MONACO HAS STILL NOT ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE. THIS IS, IN MY OPINION A VERY SERIOUS MATTER AND SOMEONE WILL BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED BY THIS DEFECT IF IT IS NOT CORRECTED. THE WATER TANKS CAN HOLD 30-35 GALLONS OF WATER AND WEIGH 250LBS. WHEN FULL, SO HITTING ONE WOULD BE LIKE HITTING A BOULDER. THE METAL SUPPORT BRACKETS ARE 1"X1" ANGLE IRON FOUR FEET LONG AND COULD GO RIGHT THROUGH A WINDSHIELD. SOME OF THE SUPPORTS ARE SPOT WELDED IN PLACE WHILE OTHERS ARE SCREWED IN PLACE WITH 1" SELF TAPPING SCREWS. THESE RATTLE LOOSE AND FALL OUT IN THE STREET CAUSING A TIRE DAMAGE DANGER. *TR UPDATED 11/17/08. *JB
