TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HEARTLAND PIONEER TRAVEL TRAILER. WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE EMERGING FROM THE REAR OF THE TRAILER AND IT STARTED TO WOBBLE IN A FISHTAIL MANNER. THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE ON THE TRAILER BLEW OUT. THE CONTACT HAD TO STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN AN OPEN FIELD. THE EMERGENCY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE CAME AND CHANGED THE TIRE. WHILE DRIVING ON A DIFFERENT OCCASION, ANOTHER MOTORIST ALERTED THE CONTACT THAT THE REAR TIRES LOOKED AS IF THEY WERE ABOUT TO DETACH FROM THE AXLE. THE TRAILER WAS DRIVEN VERY SLOWLY TO THE NEAREST DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR AXLE WAS BENT AND WAS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH THIS TYPE OF TRAILER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED AND WAS ONLY GOOD FOR ONE YEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THERE WAS NO FAILURE MILEAGE.
