AT TIME OF MANUFACTURING, THE TRAILER MANUFACTURER DRILLED A LONG SHEET METAL SCREW THROUGH THE WHEEL WELD. THE SCREWS WERE MAKING CONTACT WITH THE TIRES AND CAUSED THEM TO BLOW OUT. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRAILERS. THE GENERATOR EXHAUST OPENING IS UNDER THE TRAILER INSTEAD OF BEING VENTED OUT THE SIDE OF THE TRAILER.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: TRAILER OCCUPANTS COULD EXPERIENCE CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING WHICH COULD RESULT IN ILLNESS OR DEATH.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL VENT THE EXHAUST PIPE PROPERLY.
