2007 HARLEY DAVIDSON VRSCD FUEL GAUGE IMPROPERLY DETECTS THE FUEL LEVEL IN THE TANK WITH ERRATIC INDICATIONS BETWEEN FULL AND EMPTY LEAVING THE DRIVER UNSURE OF HOW MUCH FUEL REMAINS IN THE TANK. FAULT OCCURS EVERY TIME THE BIKE IS RIDDEN. H-D ATTEMPTED TO FIX THIS BY REPLACING THE FUEL SENDING UNIT IN AUGUST 2007. FAULT STILL REMAINS. NOT KNOWING REMAINING FUEL IN THE BIKE IS A GENERAL HAZARD TO SAFETY WHILE OPERATING ON PUBLIC ROADS DUE TO HIGH SPEED ENGINE STALLS CAUSED BY FUEL STARVATION, INCLINE FUEL STARVATION DURING UP HILL RIDING, OR STALLS AT INTERSECTIONS OR WHILE TRYING TO CAUSE BUSY STREETS. RIDER IS UNABLE-ABLE TO MAKE SOUND JUDGMENT TO PULL OVER BIKE DUE TO LOW FUEL CONDITIONS AND MUST GUESS FUEL REMAINING BASED ON MILES RODE. THIS IS AN UNACCEPTABLE HAZARD TO PUBLIC SAFETY AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED FROM A MODERN MOTORCYCLE COMPANY. *TR
