The fork seals on the bike went bad at 5000 miles with no accident or damage to the bike. The oil inside of the fork tube is leaking onto the wheels and the brakes. The bike does not want to stop as fast. The front end of the bike dips upon a complete stop. Braking in general is compromised. If the bike does need to be stop…

The fork seals on the bike went bad at 5000 miles with no accident or damage to the bike. The oil inside of the fork tube is leaking onto the wheels and the brakes. The bike does not want to stop as fast. The front end of the bike dips upon a complete stop. Braking in general is compromised. If the bike does need to be stopped in an emergency the seal could blow, and dump oil all over the front of the bike, causing the bike to become near impossible to stop safely. The parts are not readily available, and an employee at Arsenal Harley Davidson in Waterford, MI stated that they are only available through the manufacturer on a 7-10 day wait, and that this is a known problem that has not been rectified with a formal recall.
