The contact owns a 2020 Grand Design Transcend RV. The contact stated that the RV was parked and set in place. The contact owns a 2020 Grand Design Transcend RV. The contact stated that the RV was parked and set in place. The contact stated that upon exiting the RV and stepping on the bottom step, the bottom step detached. The contact noticed that the bottom step steel screws, which attached the step to the frame, had sheared off. The contact stated that the steps were made of aluminum and were attached to the trailers with four steel screws, two on each side on the stair frame. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a local dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and advised the contact that there were no recalls for the step screws. The failure mileage was approximately 1,500.

The contact owns a 2020 Grand Design Transcend RV. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21V393000 (Equipment) however, the part to do the recall was unavailable. The contact called the local dealer and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact called an independent mechanic and it was confirmed that the part was unavailable. The manufacturer was notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2016-2021 Imagine, Transcend, and Momentum travel trailers. The LP regulator that controls the LP gas pressure may fail, allowing excessive gas pressure that causes the appliance flame to increase.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Excessive gas pressure and a larger than intended appliance flame can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the LP regulator, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 24, 2021. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is 910023.
Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2020 Transcend recreational trailers. A gas leak may occur at the joint between the cook stove's gas saddle valve for the burners and the manifold under the burner surface.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A gas leak increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Grand Design will notify owners, and dealers will install a remedy kit that includes gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts and orange stickers, free of charge. The recall began February 5, 2021. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is 910022.
