5 reportsMy vehicle keeps showing a front camera warning and we went to the dealership multiple times and they were unable to diagnose the problem. This seems to be a widespread common problem among many owners and it’s a safety concern affecting parking and forward collision.
At 70 mph the adaptive cruise control system applied the brakes hard enough to engage the abs system even though my lane of travel was clear. At 70 mph the adaptive cruise control system applied the brakes hard enough to engage the abs system even though my lane of travel was clear. There was a car on the exit ramp to the right applying their brakes not in my path that I believe my vehicle picked up. There were several vehicles behind me and it almost caused an accident. There needs to be a way to disable the adaptive cruse on this vehicle for safety concerns. This has happened to me on multiple occasions and I reported it to the General Motors hotline with absolutely no feedback on the issue.

Reporting engine failure with my 2019 GMC Yukon XL. Reporting engine failure after 106,500 miles. Yukon was properly functioning and well cared for with frequent oil changes and tire rotations. On [XXX] I was driving home with my [XXX] daughter coming back from her dance recital on [XXX] at [XXX] in Minnetonka, MN when the "Forward Collison System Unavailable" warning notification came present on my dash. The vehicle started to sputter and an abundance of smoke was coming out of the rear exhaust. Fortunately, I was able to make it home safely. I brought the car in the following day and it was diagnosed that the engine failed and complete repair of camshaft, cylinders, engine coolant lines and oil pans would need replacement. I did notice that the vehicle years 2021 to 2024 are currently under recall for similar issues. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
My vehicles Electronic stability control is activating randomly. This issue started a few years ago and has increased in frequency. My vehicles Electronic stability control is activating randomly. This issue started a few years ago and has increased in frequency. We will be driving at speeds between 50-75 mph in dry conditions and it will randomly activate which has almost caused us to lose control of the vehicle. No mechanics have been able to figure it out. I did some research and saw there was a vehicle recall issued for 2019 GMC Yukons Electrontronic Stablilty Control system, but for some reason it does not cover my vehicle. The GM recall number is N192261050. The description of the issue matches exactly what is happening. I called GMC and issued a complaint and also have setup a dealership to fix the issue. I don't believe i should be responsible for paying the cost of the repair since other 2019 GMC Yukons were recalled for this issue.

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2026 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Suburban, and Tahoe, and GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles with four-wheel (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), and certain 2015-2020 Suburban, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Yukon, Yukon XL, and Tahoe vehicles. A component missing from the drivetrain transfer case may cause the front and/or rear wheels to lock up without warning to the driver.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Front or rear wheel lockup increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the remedy is completed. Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the transfer case assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 18, 2026. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223. GM's number for this recall is N262557620. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on May 7, 2026.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Cadillac CT6, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Volt, and GMC Yukon XL vehicles. Certain second-row or third-row rear seatbelts retractor assemblies may not automatically lock when the seatbelt is fully pulled out of the retractor, possibly preventing a child seat from being properly secured. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: If the child seat is not properly secured in the event of a crash, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the rear seatbelt retractors and replace them if necessary, free of charge. The recall began November 7, 2018. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 18315.
