THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE SPARE TIRE THAT WAS LOCATED UNDER THE VEHICLE DETACHED AND FELL TO THE GROUND. THE LEFT REAR LIFT GLASS HINGE WELD FAILED RESULTING IN THE NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE UNIT. THE CLAIM WAS DENIED BY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM BECAUSE THE DEFECT INVOLVES A HINGE. THE HINGE DID NOT FAIL THE WELD TO THE HINGE FAILED. THIS SHOULD BE COVERED OR BE A RECALL ITEM DUE UNDER STRUCTURAL FAILURE. *JB
