The Fuel Pump Control Module failed. It happened when the car was parked. The car would crank, but would not start. We were stranded far from where we live. It was hot and we had to be towed to a GM Dealership. This part could have failed on the hi-way with awful results. The Dealership verified the defective part. We have the old part as needed. Lots of lights flashed and went out. The Engine Light stayed on. The Gas Gauge was not reporting the correct amount of gas in the tank, but seemed to correct itself before the part failed..
While deiving in three lanes of traffic in rainy weather. The vehicle began to buck as though the engine was cutting on and off. No warming lights or abnormal noises preceded the event. While deiving in three lanes of traffic in rainy weather. The vehicle began to buck as though the engine was cutting on and off. No warming lights or abnormal noises preceded the event. The vehicle lost traction several times, but recovered. As quickly as it happened it stopped and normal driving resumed. It occurred 2 more times after approximately 1 mile of travel. I was able to limp the vehicle home, but once I shut it off it would not start again. I had it towed to the dealership and the service consultant informed me that it was the Fuel Pump Control Module that had failed and it was covered under warranty.

my car (2022 GMC Acadia Denali) died on a busy road (XXX) due to this issue yesterday, the engine just stops at 75 miles per hours, I'm barely made safe to the border of the highway. Fuel management system and Engine electrical system were the errors. The FMCE module need to be replaced as the dealer technician stated. Engine leak was repaired multiple times. Heated Seats repaired multiple times. Purge Pump repaired multiple times. Car is a junk.
Vehicle stalled and was unable to get out of roadway due to failed fuel pump module.
I was driving on the highway with my kids and my car suddenly shuts off. There was no warning messages or other symptoms of the problem... no signs! This took place on February 25, 2024. It was towed and taken to the GMC dealership (coral springs) for 3 weeks now.
My engine light came on, I took it to the service center where I purchase the vehicle. They state it is a evaporative emission canister purge pump. General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022 Cadillac XT5, XT6, and GMC Acadia All-Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles. The fuel tank rollover valve may not provide a proper seal in the event of a rollover crash.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A fuel tank rollover valve that does not properly seal can result in a fuel leak during a rollover crash, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the fuel tank and replace the fuel tank shell if the rollover valve is found to be dislodged or missing, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 27, 2022. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022 Cadillac XT5, XT6, and GMC Acadia vehicles. The left-rear suspension toe link may have been tightened improperly, which could result in a loose or separated toe link.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loose toe link can separate and cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the left-rear suspension and replace the fastener if it is loose or missing, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 11, 2022. The sensing diagnostic module (SDM) may have been left in "manufacturing mode" and not activated at the assembly plant prior to shipment. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: The air bags will not deploy with an unactivated SDM, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy: The vehicles will be returned to the assembly plant for SDM activation. Both affected vehicles are still in dealer inventory and therefore no owner notification letters will be mailed. Owners may contact GMC 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N212344261.
