Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2027 Salem and Wildwood travel trailers. The exterior griddle may be stowed while still connected to the LP gas line.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A griddle stowed while the gas is still in use can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will install a clamp on the griddle to ensure it cannot be stowed with gas connected, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 15, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-534-3167. Forest River's number for this recall is 06-2095.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Wildwood and Salem travel trailers. The Federal Placard may have the incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other than Passenger Cars."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Referencing the incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will install a new corrected label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 22, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-534-3167. Forest River's number for this recall 04-2075.
