The contact owns a 2026 Forest River Campsite Reserve. The contact stated that while the camper was hitched to a vehicle and being hauled, the refrigerator detached from the wall and fell forward. The contact stated that the cabinet trim, the floor in front of the refrigerator, and the cabinet were damaged. The camper was taken to the dealer where it was determined that there was not enough bolts used to secure the refrigerator. The contact was informed that the bolts were replaced according to the manufacturer's design. The RV was repaired. The contact was informed that more bolts were needed to secure the refrigerator to the wall. The contact stated that the failure was a known failure with similar RVs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.

The contact owns a 2026 Forest River Campsite Reserve RV. The contact stated that after parking the trailer, the electrical system failed, causing the interior lights to flash while the water pump was turned on and the fan was inoperable. Additionally, the bedroom reading light had a cracked solder joint. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the battery cables were exposed and unprotected around the metal frame of the trailer. The trailer was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200.
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026 Cascade, Cherokee, and Campsite Reserve recreational trailers. The 7-way connector may have been incorrectly wired to a breaker without over-current protection.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Without over-current protection, a short circuit can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will correct the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 4, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-260-499-2100. Forest River's number for this recall is 95-2019.
