Ford is using a heavy, wax inside the bottom of the door/side panels. When the weather gets hot, this wax softens, and runs downward, and solidifies directly over the tiny weep holes at the bottom of the doors, trapping rain and wash water inside the door panels. I Always have to clear the weep holes over and over after a carwash or rain storm. The windshield Leakes water and drips on the dashboard. I believe the trapped musty water and leaks cause dampness creating several critical safety, structural, electrical corrosion and health hazards. Ford won't repair the windshield leak because it's not cover under my premium care warranty Ford has failed to respond about my complaint about the wax in my doors. I fined that the moisture creates intermittent electrical issues of all kinds, like vent controls intermittently working various switches not functioning the first time and and have to clean or rock them to work, (intermittent popping of fuses or relay prematurely operating ). These Intermittent options/features don't work right when/as expected and believe causing a safety hazard. This standing water will breaks down the inner metal panels, leading to severe corrosion along the bottom seams and hinges. Most of these issues started around winter of 2023/ Feb 2024, with replacement of the wiper motor. issues about the exhaust system in Nov 2025. Smelling egg smell from exhaust and a leak, during the winter months when warming up vehicle, but none confirmed by Ford. Believe the shifting issues with the trans is electrical. Ford reset trans to relearn driving habits, but issues still occur. Van only has 15K miles.
