TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD TAURUS. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE WINDSHIELD WIPER GEAR BOX SUDDENLY FAILED DURING A VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORM. AS A RESULT, THE WIPERS STOPPED WORKING AND THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE PULLED OVER DUE TO POOR VISIBILITY. THE WIPER BLADES AND ARMS WERE WORKING NORMALLY. THE CONTACT BELIEVES THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A MECHANICAL ERROR. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED BY THE DEALER. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 23,000.
