TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 FORD MUSTANG GT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V319000 (AIR BAGS) AND 16V384000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE REMEDY WAS NOT AVAILABLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LEFT LEG AND BRUISES TO THE CHEST, ARMS, AND LEGS, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO AN IMPOUND YARD. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL-FORD DOES NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG...TRIED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AT FUTURE FORD OF CONCORD.
TAKATA RECALL. IN JULY 2016 MY HUSBAND RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE 16S26 ON OUR MUSTANG'S PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. THE NOTICE STATED THAT WHEN PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE WE WOULD BE NOTIFIED. ONE YEAR LATER WE ARE STILL WAITING. I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM. BUT WAITING ONE YEAR SEEMS EXCESSIVE.
"TAKATA RECALL" IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE I WAS MADE AWARE OF THIS RECALL AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION AS TO WHEN THIS PROBLEM WILL BE ADDRESSED! IS THERE STILL A PROBLEM WITH THE PASSENGER AIRBAG? IF SO, WHEN WILL THIS SITUATION GOING TO BE ADDRESSED?
TAKATA RECALL: I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE REPAIRS TO TAKE PLACE! I AM PLANNING A 2,000 MILE TRIP THIS COMING OCTOBER AND AM LEERY ABOUT DRIVING A CAR THAT HAS FAULTY AIRBAGS! I.VE BEEN WAITING FOR TWO YEARS NOW!
