HEAVY RAIN,DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT TIME,ENGINE BREATHER TUBE AND FILTER IN FRONT OF RADIATOR SUCKED UP WATER IN LARGE AMOUNTS CAUSING THE FILTER ELEMENT TO COLLASPE AND RESTRICT AIR INTAKE TO THE ENGINE,CAUSING A LOSS OF POWER AND ENGINE RPM. STEERING CONTROL AND BRAKES BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO OPERATE. I BELIEVE THIS WILL HA…

STEERING CONTROL AND BRAKES BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO OPERATE. I BELIEVE THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN IF CAUGHT ON THE ROAD DURING ANY RAIN STORM. A CALL TO OUR LOCAL FORD DEALER CAUSED THEM TO SEARCH FOR A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM,TO OTHER GEORGETOWN MOTOR HOMES ON FORD CHASSIS AND FOUND NONE. HE INFORMED ME THAT THEY DID HAVE A MODIFICATION KIT FOR THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM AVAILABLE AND THAT THEY WOULD INSTALL IT FOR ABOUT $250.00 OR SO. I OF COURSE HAD INSTALLED TO AVOID ANY MORE PROBLEMS. I BELIEVE THAT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT BY FORD OR THE MOTOR HOME ASSEMBLER. *TR

CONSUMER WENT TO HAVE RECALLED #00S48 WORK PERFORMED, HOWEVER CONSUMER WAS REFUSED ANY TYPE OF PAPER WORK TO SHOW EXACTLY WHAT WAS DONE TO VEHICLE, THEREFORE CONSUMER IS NOT SURE IF ANYTHING WAS DONE AT ALL, THE AUTO SHOP INFORMED CONSUMER THAT PAPER WORK IS NOT GIVEN OUT WHEN WORK IS PERFORMED UNDER WARRANTY.*YD
