THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GRIECO FORD OF FORT LAUDERDALE (1333 N. FEDERAL HWY, FORT LAUDERDALE, FL 33304; (844) 648-2686) WHO ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED DUE TO DEFECTIVE CABLES HOWEVER, THE SPECIFICS OF WHAT WAS SUGGESTED THAT WAS NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED WAS NOT SPECIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ANOTHER DEALER, PALMETTO TRUCK CENTER (7245 NW 36TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33166; (305) 592-3682) WHO CONFIRMED THE FIRST DIAGNOSTIC RESULT FROM THE FIRST DEALER BUT, STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT. 22V731000 · Suspension:rear

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2021 F-53 recreational stripped chassis vehicles. The rear stabilizer bar attachment brackets may break and separate from the vehicle.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Brackets that separate from the vehicle can create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the bolt tightness for both rear stabilizer attachment brackets and replace the weld nuts and bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 8, 2023. Remedy parts are expected to become ready February 28, 2023. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S62.
