210 reportsDRIVING AT APPROXIMATLEY 45 MPH STEERING GEAR BOX BLEW OUT ALL FUSES, CAUSING LOSS OF POWER STEERING. DEALER HAS REPLACED PART 3 TIMES, DEFECT IS STILL OCCURRING. *AK
WHENEVER THE IGNITION IS TURNED OFF, THE VEHICLE IS STILL RUNNING. TOOK TO DEALER. A SMALL PIECE IN STEERING COLUMN HAD BROKEN OFF. DUE TO COLD WEATHER, PIECE FOR TILT WHEEL HAD SNAPPED. HAPPENED TWICE BEFORE, BUT HAD IT REPLACED. *AK
FRONT BRAKES ARE ON CONTINUALLY RESULTING IN OVERHEATING OF THE CALIPERS, PADS AND ROTORS, DAMAGING BRAKE SYSTEM.
WHILE TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY EXPERIENCED POWER LOSS AFTER SWITCHING TO FRONT FUEL TANK. STOPPED ON SHOULDER AND NOTICED LOSS OF GASOLINE BY SMELL.
DUAL FUEL TANK SELECTOR VALVE MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING AN OVERFILL CONDITION IN ONE OF THE TANKS, RESULTING IN AN OVERFLOW OF FUEL PRIOR TO RECALL. RECALL REPAIRS REFUSED DUE TO DATE OF MANUFACTURING.
MUFFLER FAILED.
MANY NEAR MISSES/CUTS OFF DUE TO ACCELERATION OF ENGINE WHILE IN GEAR. NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE AT LOW SPEEDS AND IN ICY CONDITIONS. *AK
PAINT IS PEELING OFF FROM OUTSIDE BODY OF THE VEHICLE. *AK

THE IGNITION SWITCH COULD EXPERIENCE AN INTERNAL SHORT CIRCUIT.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE OVERHEATING, SMOKE, AND POSSIBLY FIRE IN THE STEERING COLUMN AREA OF THE VEHICLE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH.

THE DUAL FUEL TANK SELECTOR VALVE MAY MALFUNCTION AND CAUSE AN OVERFILL CONDITION IN ONE OF THE FUEL TANKS, RESULTING IN AN OVERFLOW OF FUEL PAST THE FILLER CAP.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THE OVERFLOW OF FUEL PAST THE FILLER CAP CAUSES A FUELLEAKAGE, WHICH CAN RESULT IN A FIRE WHEN EXPOSED TO A SOURCE OF IGNITION.
Remedy: REPLACE THE DUAL FUEL TANK SELECTOR VALVE.

UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, THE SNAP RING THAT LOCATES THE PARK GEAR ON THE OUTPUT SHAFT OF THE TRANSMISSION MAY FRACTURE.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: WHEN THE GEAR IS PLACED IN PARK, THE PARK GEAR WOULD NOTENGAGE, ALLOWING THE TRUCK TO ROLL FREELY IF THE PARKING BRAKE IS NOT PROPERLYSET. THIS COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy: INSTALL IMPROVED SNAP RING AND REVISED TRANSMISSION EXTENSION HOUSING.

SHIELDS ON THE FRONTS OF THE MIDSHIP MOUNTED FUEL TANKS WERE OMITTED DURING ASSEMBLY.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: TRUCKS WOULD NOT COMPLY WITH 30 MPH IMPACT TEST OFFMVSS NO. 301, FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY.
Remedy: INSTALL FUEL TANK SHIELDS.
