Subject: Formal Customer Complaint – 2025 Ford F-150 Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power I am requesting that Ford Motor Company open a formal Customer Relationship Center case concerning an unresolved powertrain malfunction affecting my 2025 Ford F-150. Vehicle: 2025 Ford F-150 VIN: [XXX] Mileage: Approximately 19,215 miles Servicing Dealer: Gary Yeomans Ford, Daytona Beach, Florida On XXX my Ford mobile application generated an “Action needed” vehicle health alert stating: “Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power.” My vehicle is also displaying an illuminated wrench warning and a “Service Engine Soon” message. The Ford application continues to show the Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power condition and states that service is recommended. I contacted Gary Yeomans Ford regarding the condition. I was informed that a part necessary to repair the problem is on national backorder. However, I have not been provided with the diagnostic trouble codes, exact diagnosis, failed component, Ford part number, estimated part availability, estimated repair date, or written confirmation regarding whether Ford considers the vehicle safe to continue operating while this condition remains unresolved. At this time, I have not experienced an actual loss of power, stalling, abnormal shifting, accident, or other drivability event. Nevertheless, I am concerned about continuing to operate a vehicle that Ford’s own system identifies as having a “Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power” condition while the repair remains unavailable. I am requesting that Ford: 1. Open a formal Customer Relationship Center case and provide me with the case number. 2. Obtain the complete diagnosis and diagnostic trouble codes from Gary Yeomans Ford. 3. Provide the name and part number of the failed component. 4. Confirm the warranty coverage for this repair. 5. Escalate the nationally backordered replacement part. 6. Provide an estimated part availability and repair date. 7. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA),

While traveling on vacation April 15, my 2025 F150 truck suffered a total loss of forward momentum on the highway and in city of Los Angeles —a severe safety failure. The repairing Ford dealership, diagnosed a factory-born "OPEN" in the main wiring harness (#14A005) behind the dash (DTCs P2128/P2138). To rectify this assembly-line defect, the dealership had to completely remove the dashboard (Instrument Panel). As an experienced truck owner, I know that an invasive repair of this magnitude on a brand-new vehicle significantly increases the risk of long-term electrical issues and permanent dashboard rattles. My confidence in this specific vehicle has been severely compromised.

My truck is a 2025 Ford F150 STX with 5,900 miles on it. This truck was purchased new at River City Ford in Lavalette, WV The component in questions seems to be involved with the turbos and more specifically the wastegate that attached to the turbos. Also, yes, it would be available for inspection. I am unsure if it is a true safety concern as Ford says it is not and it is normal operation. However, with it making the rattling sound that it does I would believe that it could cause damage or that it's not normal operation. Yes, the problem has been confirmed by the dealer on 2 visits now but Ford refuses to do any type of repair as they say this is normal. It has only been inspected by Ford technicians The problem appeared over a month ago and is still happening every time I drive the vehicle.
