2021 Ford F-150 Hybrid

Audio system malfunction that resulted in deafening random electronic noise levels that would not stop until the battery was disconnected for a long period of time. I started a thread online (link below) and there are numerous others with the issue. There are multiple videos showing the issue. Some have reported a burning smell so there could be a fire risk as well. (https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/dangerous-b-o-sound-system-issue.9254/) It really is loud enough to cause a crash and I believe it's just a matter of time if it hasn't already happened. My ears were ringing for several hours. To date Ford hasn't provided any resolution beyond just extending my factory warranty. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a full week with no resolution - again, same as several others.

Rear differential, passenger side axle bolt broke off. I removed the right rear wheel after hearing a metallic noise while braking to inspect, as soon as I removed the wheel a broken head bolt and washer fell out and you can clearly see the other piece of the bolt is still in the axle shaft. I am not sure if this bolt breaking off could cause loss of wheel or axle. But now my brakes are making noise, I believe as a symptom directly related to this issue. I looked up 2021+ F150 forums and customers with this max trailer tow axles are experiencing the same thing. I took the vehicle to the dealer today to get this inspected and am awaiting an update. The only indicators of a problem was loud metallic noise while braking, and a slight ringing sound while driving without braking. It was all sounding in the rear of the vehicle.

When in regular use of this hybrid Powerboost F150, the truck lurches forward on electric motor power as if you just got rear-ended. This happens every single time you have to come to a stop for more than 5 seconds. The only way to avoid this issue is to drive in"tow/haul" mode which keeps the truck's engine running. This defeats the purpose of a hybrid truck, and you have to remember to switch the running mode from normal to the haul/tow mode. This lurching had to be causing extra wear and tear on the drive train parts. Apparently the problem is a faulty "Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Pump". Many of us on the Ford F150 forums are waiting on our dealers for this back ordered pump. Apparently Ford continues to build vehicles while falling to provide a replacement pump? I am concerned as to the design of this pump as well. My"new" truck only has 7800 miles on it, a little over one year old, and the pump is defective. Is this going to be a reocurring problem? This is a safety issue and should be addressed ASAP. Thank you for your attention to this matter..

Complaint 1: Mar 14,2022 Manufacturer Recall Number22S12 NHTSA Recall Number22V-142 Parts for recall has not been made available yet, promised for 2nd quarter. We are not into 3rd quarter. How can Ford still produce new trucks if parts are not available to fix existing trucks on the road as it is a safety concern? Complaint 2: Error code P2C44 - requires replacement of Auxiliary Battery Insulator from Ford's internal doc SSM 50976. Was told part is also backed ordered for 45 days. Again how can Ford build new trucks if parts are not available! Please make them fix existing trucks on the road first before new trucks are built! What good are warranties when it takes months to fix.

13800 miles, broken axle/wheel bearing retaining bolt. Screeching noise. Bad wheel bearing. Dealer will not replace wheel bearing because they do not correlate the broken bolt to a bad wheel bearing. Leaving me with a bad wheel bearing that I consider prematurely worn out and is making a clicking sound. Dealer says they cannot replicate the noise so will not investigate further

In May 2022, the passenger side right rear axle bolt sheared off creating a squealing/grinding noise from that wheel. The only thing holding the wheel onto the axle were the brake caliper bolts. The repair involved a new axle. In early Sept 2022, the driver side rear axle bolt sheared off with the same results. The vehicle is now in the shop waiting for the parts to arrive. Dealer advised that this is a serious safety issue and requested that the vehicle be towed to the service center.
