The contact owns a 2017 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at an independent mechanic for an exhaust manifold leak, the mechanic informed her that the brake master cylinder was also leaking fluid. The independent mechanic replaced the brake master cylinder and brake booster. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was 91,818.

If a forced refund is possible I’d be interested. This was in 2019 but still have $823 invoice.
Loss of power, no throttle response while driving. Happens when the throttle is advanced at a faster pace like taking off from a traffic light. I get the "See Manual" message and the wrench symbol. Turning off and then turning back on the vehicle clears the fault. Known problem with the Throttle body.....Can you say Recall?
Backup camera loses connection, does not show image, or is grossly distorted, flashes on screen. Cannot safely use backup camera when backing up. Problem Looks identical to the picture below which is from a recalled mustang.

Took it to dealer to have it looked at, they said there was nothing they could do because of no recall issued on that specific vehicle.
September 2021 vehicle back up camera not functioning properly and loud knocking noise coming from rear interior. Video display is cloudy and not Capturing rear outside picture at all
Getting tires change and lug nuts are swollen. I heard this is a very common problem and now needs to be replaced.
Phone and Bluetooth are inoperable, as well as usb and auxiliary are inoperable. This presents a danger as the APIM controls a number of functions on the vehicle that could also become safety threat such as relying on the back up camera which has also presented intermittent issues.

I was driving the vehicle and it suddenly lost all engine power. The car was still on and running but slowed down to idle speed and was almost rear ended. I was barely able to get it over to the side street where I turned it off and then back on. And it ran like usual and I drove it back home, I was only a mile away. After further research it seems this is a known issue with the throttle body on these vehicles.

The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview camera that displays an inverted, distorted, or blank image can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2026. Ford owners will receive letters in phases, beginning January 2026 and June 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S89. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A brake fluid leak can cause reduced brake function and extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder. If the master cylinder is leaking, the brake booster will also be replaced. Repairs will be performed free of charge.
