CAR WILL RESTART ONCE I PLACE IT IN PARK. THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY CONCERN. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL NEAR MISSES AND ONLY BECAUSE I HAVE LEARNED TO RESPOND QUICKLY WITH MY HAZARD LIGHTS. I CALLED DON HINDS FORD IN FISHERS, IN AT THE SECOND OCCURRENCE AND THEY FAILED TO EXPRESS THE SAME LEVEL OF CONCERN TELLING ME I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT 4-5 DAYS FOR AN APPOINTMENT. THE FREQUENCY HAS INCREASED, ALBEIT STILL RANDOM AND NOT DAILY IT DOES OCCUR MULTIPLE TIMES A WEEK. I MADE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT WITH DON HINDS WAITING AGAIN 4 BUSINESS DAYS ON 7-8-2014. I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AS THEIR REPORT WAS BASED ON THEIR INABILITY TO NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE LIKELIHOOD TO REPLICATE A RANDOM OCCURRENCE IN A SHORT TEST DRIVE WAS NOT EXPECTED BY ME AND I AM DISAPPOINTED THEY WERE FOOLISH TO THINK IT WOULD. THE HISTORY OF THE LAST 10 STARTS AND STOPS ON THE CAR'S COMPUTER DIDN'T REPORT ANY ERROR CODE. DON HIND'S STATES THAT FORD HAS NO REPORTS OF ANY INCIDENTS AND THEIR TECHNICAL SUPPORT HAD NO RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE MECHANIC. THE ADVICE OF THE MECHANIC WAS TO WAIT UNTIL IT WAS MORE FREQUENT IN OCCURRENCE AND ABLE TO BE REPLICATED AND THEN BRING IT BACK. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR AND TO TRANSPORT MY CHILDREN. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 Bronco Sport, Escape, and Lincoln Corsair vehicles. The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) may not illuminate at startup or while driving. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 101, "Control and Displays" and 102, "Transmission shift lever sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect" as well as FMVSS numbers 126, 108, 135, 138, 208, and 305.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 17, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C02.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Ford Escape, and 2021-2024 Lincoln Corsair vehicles. A manufacturing defect in one or more of the high voltage battery cells may result in an internal short circuit and battery failure.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Battery failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Battery failure can also increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to charge battery till the remedy has been completed. Dealers will perform a battery energy control module (BECM) software update, and replace the high voltage battery pack, as necessary, free of charge. The Body Control Module (BCM) intermittently may not pick up the signal from the rear Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensors or the Remote Key Fob. In the event of a low tire pressure condition, the TPMS system may not provide an adequate warning.
