It began with having issues with power window sometimes not going up or down, then I started to have problems with the compass on the car always pointing north, then the car lost access to bluetooth and the sync 3 system refused to update. From there the issue with the radio not coming on started and was advised to do master reset, soft reset, then hard reset. Did this multiple times and now the display no longer comes on at all. I have lost the ability of my rear camera, cannot use USB ports and 12v. I have no access to radio, bluetooth, carplay of any kind, went to the dealer about it and they said the APIM module is bad and it will cost around $4,000 to replace. That is ridiculous. This car has been nothing but trouble since about 2 weeks after the warranty expired. I cannot afford to get the thing repaired and am too underwater on the loan to trade it in for a new car. I will never buy a ford again and I've been buying cars from ford for 13 years. This issue needs to have a recall because I have read thousands of reviews about this same issue.

Status: closed (inferred from source dates) · Engine And Engine Cooling:engine:oil/lubrication:pump
On September 20, 2023, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened PE23-015 to investigate instances of engine failure due to loss of oil pressure in model year (MY) 2018-2021 Ford EcoSport vehicles. Some consumers reported a low engine oil pressure warning lamp immediately preceding a complete loss or reduction of motive power while the vehicle was in motion. The investigation revealed that the engine oil pump drive belt tensioner arm may fracture, separate from the tensioner backing plate, and/or the oil pump drive belt may degrade and lose teeth, resulting in a loss of engine oil pressure. A loss of engine oil pressure can result in engine seizure, which can result in a loss of motive power and a loss of mechanical vacuum pump required to provide power braking assist, increase the risk of a crash. On December 22, 2023, Ford filed recall 23V-905 for certain MY 2016-2018 Ford Focus and 2018-2022 Ford EcoSport vehicles. The recall remedy provides the replacement of the oil pump drive belt tensioner assembly and oil pump drive belt with redesigned parts to improve robustness. In view of the recall action being taken by Ford, ODI is closing this Preliminary Evaluation. The agency reserves the right to take additional action if warranted by future circumstances.
