THE SLIDING FLOOR IN THE ENTRY OF THE MOTORHOME IS OPERATED BY A SWITCH THAT IS EASILY OPERATED BY A SMALL CHILD WHILE STANDING ON THE ENTRY STEPS. WE HAVE EXPERIENCED A INCIDENT WHERE A 32 MONTH OLD CHILD WAS EJECTED FROM OUR STATIONARY MOTOR HOME, SUFFERING HEAD TRAUMA. FLEETWOOD DOES NOT WANT TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM AND HAS NOT REPORTED OUR INCIDENT TO NHTSA, IN DIRECT VIOLATION OF LAW. ALSO, THEY HAVE NOT PROVIDED AN ADEQUATE AND ACCEPTABLE FIX TO THIS PROBLEM. WE BELIEVE THAT EVERY FLEETWOOD PRODUCT WITH THE SLIDING FLOORBOARD SHOULD BE EQUIPPED WITH A SWITCH THAT CANNOT BE OPERATED BY A CHILD WHILE STANDING ON THE ENTRY STEPS. FLEETWOOD'S DELIBERATE IGNORING OF THIS PROBLEM IS UNACCEPTABLE. FOR FURTHER EXPLANATION, CONTACT ME. I HAVE CORRESPONDANCE AND PHOTOS DESCRIBING THE DEFECT AND FLEETWOOD'S ATTEMPT TO HIDE THE PROBLEM.
