SPARE TIRE RACK PULLED COMPLETELY OUT OF BACK OF MOTOR HOME. IF MY TRAILER HITCH HAD NOT BEEN ON THE MOTOR HOME IT WOULD HAVE BROKEN OFF IN THE PATH OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. SPARE TIRE RACK PULLED COMPLETELY OUT OF BACK OF MOTOR HOME. IF MY TRAILER HITCH HAD NOT BEEN ON THE MOTOR HOME IT WOULD HAVE BROKEN OFF IN THE PATH OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. HAD BEEN A RECALL, CARRIED TO DEALER, DEALER SAID THEY WOULD FIX. FLEETWOOD SAID THEY WOULD FIX THE SPARE TIRE RACK BUT NOT THE OTHER DAMAGE. DEALER SAID THEY DIDN'T PUT IT ON THE MOTOR HOME. CONCERN ABOUT THE OTHER MOTOR HOMES THAT HAVN'T BEEN REPAIR. THE OTHER DAMAGE IS TO THE COVER THAT HAS A AIR-BRUSH PAINTING THAT I HAD DONE.

THE SPARE TIRE AND WHEEL STORAGE ASSEMBLY IS LOCATED UNDER THE VEHICLE IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THE TIRE AND WHEEL ASSEMBLY CONTACTS THE ROAD SURFACE, RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE ATTACHMENT MECHANISM. THE DAMAGE CAN CAUSE THE SPARE WHEEL AND TIRE TO FALL FROM THE MOTORHOME ONTO THE ROADWAY.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: OBJECTS FALLING FROM THE MOTORHOME ONTO THE ROADWAY CAN BECOME A ROAD HAZARD TO OPERATORS OF OTHER VEHICLES.

Remedy: HARDWARE WILL BE ADDED TO THE RELOCATE THE MOUNTING OF THE SPARE WHEEL AND TIRE TO THE REAR WALL, ABOVE THE BUMPER OF THE MOTORHOME.
