MICHLIN 235-80-22.5 TIRE BLEW OUT (RIGHT INNER DUAL SIDE WALL).TRAVELING AT 60 MPH. JUST HAD MOTORHOME WEIGHED AT EACH CORNERAT RALLY IN TEXAS 2 DAYS BEFORE BLOWOUT AND IT WAS WITHIN WEIGHT AND TIRE PRESSURE LIMITS. 2000 DISCOVERY (36,000) MILES CAUSED $3100.00 DAMAGE TO BODY. 2 WEEKS LATER WHILE DOING MAINT. DISCOVERED MUNTIPLE BULGES IN BOTH FRONT TIRES. REPLACED THEM AND NOW AM REPLACING LEFT REAR DUALS FOR FEAR THEY WILL BLOW! THE DEALER TELLS ME THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER FROM MICHLIN AND THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW WHEN THEY CAN GET ANY. I THINK 6 TIRES AT 36,000 MILES IS A PROBLEM!! I HAVE PHOTOS OF BLOWN OUT TIRE AND DAMAGE. *AK

CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES AND TRAVEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH A TWO-DOOR REFRIGERATOR, MANUFACTURED BY THE DOMETIC CORPORATION, MAY HAVE A DEFECT IN THE BOILER TUBE. PRESSURIZED COOLANT SOLUTION COULD BE RELEASED INTO AN AREA WHERE AN IGNITION SOURCE (GAS FLAME) IS PRESENT.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: RELEASE OF COOLANT UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS COULD IGNITE AND RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy: FLEETWOOD WILL BE WORKING WITH DOMETIC IN ORDER TO REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS (PLEASE SEE 06E076). DOMETIC WILL REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS BY INSTALLING A SECONDARY BURN HOUSING, A THERMAL FUSE, AND A MELT FUSE FREE OF CHARGE. DOMETIC HAS RETAINED STERICYCLE INC. TO MANAGE THIS CAMPAIGN. STERICYCLE WILL ASSIST YOU IN LOCATING DEALERSHIPS OR SERVICE CENTERS AND WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH SCHEDULING OF APPOINTMENTS. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DOMETIC/STERICYCLE AT 1-888-446-5157 OR FLEETWOOD AT 1-800-322-8216.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTOR HOMES. THE POWER STEERING GEAR BOX HYDRAULIC LINES ARE ROUTED TOO CLOSE TO A SHARP EDGE. THIS CAN CAUSE THE LINES TO RUPTURE AND RESULT IN A HYDRAULIC FLUID LEAK.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THIS FLUID LEAKAGE CAN CAUSE LOSS OF THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FEATURE.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT, REPLACE OR REPAIR DAMAGED HOSES AS NECESSARY, AND RELOCATE THE AFFECTED HYDRAULIC LINES.
