THIS IS A COMPLAINT DUE TO A RECENT LETTER I RECEIVED FROM CARLISLE TRANSPORTATION PRODUCTS INC. REGARDING A RECALL ON DEFECTIVE WHEELS ON MY TRAILER (SAFETY RECALL# 13E-059) WHICH I CONTACTED CARLISLE INC. ON MARCH 12TH, 2014 TO START MY CLAIM. ON MARCH 31ST, 2014 I FINALLY RECEIVED CONFIRMATION THAT A WARRANTY ORDER HAD BEEN PLACED (#20436381) AND THE WHEELS WOULD BE SHIPPED OUT AND REPLACED AT NO COST TO MYSELF. AFTER SEVERAL E-MAILS TO CARLISLE INC. AND LAST CORRESPONDENCE WAS ON APRIL 18TH, 2014 I STILL DON'T KNOW IF THESE WHEELS ARE EVER GOING TO BE REPLACED AS STATED BY CARLISLE INC. EZ Loader Adjustable Boat Trailers, Inc. (EZ Loader) is recalling certain model year 2013 -2014 boat trailers, equipped with Carlisle Transportation Products-brand 15X6" and 16X6" CrossTrax Series trailer wheels. The lips of the affected wheels are susceptible to cracking and separation.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: If a separation occurs, the trailer tire may rapidly lose air pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: The manufacturer has not provided a remedy plan. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact EZ Loader at 1-509-489-0181.
