The contact stated he was an independent mechanic, and while he was rotating the tires, he noticed that the upper side of the brake caliper was missing the clips. The contact owns a 2021 DRV All Aluminum Trailer. The contact stated he was an independent mechanic, and while he was rotating the tires, he noticed that the upper side of the brake caliper was missing the clips. The contact stated that he attempted to install new clips on the brake caliper; however, the clips failed to tighten because the brake caliper bracket was fractured. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V733000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact stated that the recall remedy did not include the replacement of the brake caliper bracket. The manufacturer referred the contact to the dealer for the trailer inspection. The local dealer was contacted, and an appointment was scheduled. The trailer was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
