FAILURE TYPE = FAILED TIRES LESS THAN 1 YEAR OLD, PROPERLY MAINTAINED FIRST OCCURANCE HAPPENED WHILE RETURNING FROM A CAMPING TRIP IN ARIZONA. WHILE TRAVELING AT 65 MPH DURING A DOWN HILL STRETCH OF CROWDED WEEKEND TRAFFIC OUR 2000 COLEMAN SANTFE POPUP TENT TRAILER'S PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW. IT NEARLY CAUSED A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT AS WE PULLED OFF THE ROAD WITH THE TRAILER SWINGING BACK AND FORTH. AS THE TREAD FROM THE CARSLILE B78-13ST ST175-80-D13 LOAD RANGE C TIRE ROTATED AROUND ON THE BLOWN TIRE IT DID APPROX. $1000 OF DAMAGE TO THE TRAILER. CARSLILE REPLACED THE TIRE AND REMBURSED OUR INSURANCE ANGENCY FOR THE DAMAGE TO THE TRAILER. THE SECOND INCIDENT OCCURED ON SEPT 10TH WHILE GOING CAMPING IN ARIZONA. THIS TIME THE REPLACEMENT TIRE LOST 1/4 OF ITS TREAD. THE DRIVER NOTICED A VIBRATION AND SUBSEQUENTLY PART OF THE TREAD FLYING OFF THE TIRE AND WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER BEFORE ANY SERIOUS DAMAGE WAS DONE. THIS TIRE WAS LESS THAT ONE YEAR OLD. IN ADDITION BOTH TIRES WERE MAINTAINED PROPERLY (50 PSI).
