The contact owns a 1991 Chevrolet G20 Conversion. The contact stated that the aftermarket driver's and passenger's side front seat recliner handles rubbed on the seat belt, causing the seat belt to fray. The contact was concerned that the seat belts could fail due to the fraying. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.
