The contact rented a 2025 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid from Budget Car Rental (2176 Main St, Dunedin, FL 34698). The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH, the contact believed that the vehicle was being tracked via Bluetooth throughout a trip from Florida to Kansas City to New York and back to Florida, as the vehicle was surrounded by other vehicles with suggestive and personalized license plates. The contact reported the issue to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue.
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2025 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. The bolts securing the front brake caliper bracket may not be tightened properly, which can result in reduced steering control, a brake fluid leak, and a loss of front brake function.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Reduced steering control, a brake fluid leak, and loss of front brake function increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the front brake caliper brackets and bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 10, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 27C.
